A honeybee worker foraging on a flowering succulent in Puerto de la Cruz.

One of the few honey bees I saw in Nice despite looking through a lot of flower borders. Possibly a result of the large number of Asian hornets that I did see.

L'Abeille européenne, Apis mellifera, est une abeille à miel originaire d'Europe. Elle est considérée comme semi-domestique. C'est une des abeilles élevées à grande échelle en apiculture pour produire du miel et pour la pollinisation.
