President Mahinda Rajapaksa participates at “Api Wenuwen Api” Housing Project’s seventeenth stage handing over of houses for the war heroes in the Puttalam district, Nov.01, 2014. The President handed over the first house to Corporal Atapattu of Nawagattegama, a serving war hero of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Later the President handed over the keys to the house owners at a function held at the Anamaduwa Mauswewa Rathanapala Navodya Vidyalaya grounds.

Api Nampa Peak from Gunji campName of the peak: Api Nampa
Api is the highest peak in the Yoka Pahar Section of Gurans Himal, part of the Himalayas in the extreme northwest corner of Nepal, near the borders of India and Tibet.
It is a little-known peak in a rarely visited part of the Himalayas, but it rises dramatically over the low surrounding terrain.
The altitude of the peak is 7,132 m.

This is one of the major watercourses in Singapore serving parts of Paris Ris and Tampines New Towns and the Pasir Ris Industrial Area. Interestingly, a 1.2km stretch of this river is just within 5m reach of the nearest HDB blocks in Pasir Ris New Town.
