This is the apartment we settled on. We only had about 2 weeks to find a place. If we didn't find anything, my company was going to stick us back in a serviced apartment. This was definitely the nicest place we saw and since it was close to my work, funished, and a 2 bdrm, we took it.
The hallway that leads to our apartment. It is super breezy due to the whole one wall actually being just bars.

Here's a complete view of the nice apartment I uploaded last week. Fun times shooting this one.
Still hunting for apartment sized dining table...
I fell in love with this table today. But it's $565 which is too manies for me.
It swivels and then opens like a book for the top to go from 3x2 feet to 3x4 feet.

Loft NYC: "chateaux monroe" Guest Room: classic NYC urban fixtures abound in this room design.
From the reclaimed N.Y.P.D. police barricade-turned bench, to the rescued N.Y.P.D. police locker & the Manhattan cast metal window "protector" as a sculpture. Books in the mid-century modern case run the gambit, from MoMa's design collection & Muji's "nyc in a bag", to Jon Ortner's Manhattan Dawn & Dusk, & various nyc eating/visiting guides , it's New York City in full tilt.

One of the more modern buildings we saw in Havana, this one still looks like it was built in the 90's.
Turns out, my nothing but beer+condiments fridge contents held out 4 days. Added eggs, cheese, apples, and more beer (of course) today.
Walking down the streets of my town the other night, I found that the folks in Apt. 5 have moved out. Just an FYI. Don't send them any mail...

Bay Harbor Island - Miami, Florida
Dexter's Palm Terrace apartment, seen in almost every episode of the first season, is one of the very few residences in Dexter that actually exists in Southern Florida. In real life, they are the Bay Harbor Club condos in Miami Beach.
Adress: 1155 103RD STREET, MIAMI BEACH, FL 33154

While studying Italian in Florence, Italy for the month of July I shared a four bedroom, two bath apartment with five female students from UCI (University of California). I had my own room as did one of my roommates. The remaining four paired up.
We were on what we would consider the third floor, but in Italy is the second floor. The bottom floor or ground floor in Italy is not numbered, and is called just that --- bottom floor or ground floor. Sometime it is called 0 floor. The next floor up, what we would call the 2nd floor, is the 1st floor in Italy.
It was a very nice apartment, quite large and away from the tourist area in a nice section of Florence just north of the Arno River and a little east of Stazione Leopolda. It was about a two mile walk to school through Piazza San Giovanni and Piazza Duomo, tourist area in Florence. I didn't spend much time in the apartment. I was up early and out by 7:00 am. Classes were from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm and then I was on the move visiting and exploring different parts of the city.
We did have a washing machine, but since I didn’t bring a lot of clothing I usually hand washed my clothes in the evening and hung them up to dry. I’ve learned many lessons from my travels over the years and now travel with very little.

We are expanding our space now that the folks in the back apartment that is attached to ours have moved out. These apartments are *old* and there is much to be done and at the same time, only so much we can do right now. Excited to have more space, but it's going to take a while to get there.
