This is a picture from the apartment fire that happened in my complex last night. It's right across the parking lot as you can see. The smoke and embers were all blowing my direction. The picure is a bit hazy as we were having a thick fog that night. Nobody was injured but many apartments destroyed unfortunately.

Raleigh FD arrived to find heavy fire on the 3rd floor of apartment building. 7 people had jumped from the 3rd floor. 13 total were initially transported. That number increased slightly as the event went into the morning.
30 firefighters on scene

20 min to control the fire
No fatalities
Cause under investigation
Sure, it covers up that massive "mural" a bit, but it divides the space neatly and offers some more bedroom-like feel while sleeping.
Pics of my new apartment. All my furniture, art, etc. is done in my living room. I am still working on getting my mirror and other things up on my bedroom walls. When that's done, I am completely done. It'll be nice to have some days off where I have nothing more to do to make the apartment really feel and look the way I want it.
You can see some Midnight views of Burger King outside my porch. It's better than having other apartments in my view, so I'm happy.
My closet is huge... Down the stairs is access to my front door and garage. I was going to take pictures of the garage but it's just one big, long garage.

My kitchen, from the bed. No stove or oven as we know them, just a two-burner electric range. Those are my only windows and there are metal fences just outside them, for security I guess, but it keeps too much light out.

This is the place where I use my laptop and do my magic for the next 5 months at least.
And oh yeah. I have an Apple Macbook nowadays. Lovin' it!

That's right mom i still don't set my bed :) That white looking robot thing in the room is an air conditioner that dispenses more water onto the floor than it does cool air into the room. Oh and its really loud.

Bedroom view from bathroom door. Those are dead-ass flowers. Do not laugh at the bear; it was a gift from my dad when I was 12. It was from A&S Strauss which I don't even think exists anymore. The bear's name was "Abearham" (clever) and he had a mouse on his arm -- Strauss the mouse. Abearham was renamed "Big Gree" after the body guard of my favorite boy group at the time: The Boys. He used to don a santa hat and scarf. He is now nude because he is 18.
