"Art is now the only evolutionary-revolutionary power.
Only art is capable of dismantling the repressive social system to build
a SOCIAL ORGANISM AS A WORK OF ART."

Having bought and sold some lenses, I am now trying to focus on Nikkor glass, this is nothing compared to many guys I know having collection that puts many smaller stores to shame. :D
I'm very drawn to different build and coatings Nikon use on their lenses over the decades.
The older ones are single coated, or some early approach to multi coating, shown here in magenta or amber. Later generations of AI and AI-S lenses are multi coated in blue/green, while the latest AF and especially AF-S lenses are multi coated in green and they have dim reflections, which is the exact point of a lens coating - to minimize reflections! :)
The latest development from Nikon, the Nano coating, is seen by many as a marketing gimmick. For a complex 15 elements zoom lens, only one or two surface is actually treated with Nano coating. This allows Nikon to introduce version II of a perfectly good lens, with an updated price and 'New Nano Coating'.
That, or I just can't afford it. So the joke is on me after all. LOL.
Okay so here's the list:
- Nikkor 55mm f/1.2 Pre AI
- Micro Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 AI
- Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 AI
- AF Nikkor 35mm f/2 D
- AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D
- AF Nikkor 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5
- AF-S Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8 D
Not shown here is the AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 used to take the shot.
It's a shame that I have (almost) too many toys and only a few gets taken out. :P
I ALWAYS love to seeing your collection, please do post a link to yours and I'll definitely check them out. Cheers!

Defying my feeble efforts at classification, this small butterfly was perched on heavy grass at the water's edge.
Seen from a bus. He made a peace symbol next & wanted me to take a photo with the peace symbol, but I didn’t understand that until too late.

Fraenkel Gallery exhibit Boulevard, photographs by Katy Grannan.
On the last few days of the exhibit, I swung by on my lunch break. Low and behold the person "Anonymous" from Grannan's photograph Anonymous, San Francisco 2010 was at the exhibit with a friend. She wore the outfit, complete with bag, from the photograph.
Thank you Anonymous for letting me take your photograph.
An Anonymous activist participating in a protest against the surging cost of living on Saturday 2 April 2022.
On the 2 April 2022, the second of two large demonstrations to be held in London this year took place - protesters were highlighting the government's complicity in the rise in the cost of living and increasing levels of inequality and poverty. It was organised by the anti-austerity organisation People's Assembly and trade unions and rallies took place in several cities across the UK.
While the very rich have seen their wealth increase as a result of the government boosting equity markets through quantitative easing as well as massive subsidies to larger businesses, the majority of the population and particularly the poor have seen their living standards decline and the current increases in energy, food and other essential living costs will hit the poorest in society the hardest.
Labour MP Zarah Sultana tweeted 'The cost of living crisis is a Tory political choice: they hand bankers a £1bn-a-year tax cut while scrapping the £20-a-week universal credit uplift,' and activist Peter Tatchell similarly declared that he had 'joined today’s @pplsassembly protest against cost of living crisis, urging a #WindfallTax on energy companies. I also urged a one-off 20% #WealthTax on UK’s 171 billionaires. It would raise £120bn to fund NHS/social care.'
