Budapest - Moments
The statue of Anonymus (Hungarian: Anonymus szobra) is a bronze sculpture made by the Hungarian sculptor Miklós Ligeti in Budapest in 1903, honoring the hitherto unknown author of the Gesta Hungarorum, a chronicle of the Magyars from their settlement in the Danube plain in 896 to the early Middle Ages.
The statue is located in the inner-city park City Grove, on Széchenyi Island, directly opposite the entrance of the Museum of Agriculture, which is located in Vajdahunyad Castle.
The statue, which appears somewhat ghostly in the dim light, shows a medieval scribe in a seated figure with flowing robe and hood pulled deep into his face. In this way, Ligeti figuratively translated the hitherto open question of the scribe's identity.

35mm Sigma Art processed in ON1. Seeds courtesy from my next door neighbour. I use these chives in Chinese cooking, salads, salad dressings and casseroles for my fructose dodging family members (onion dodgers).
My son recently had complications while using the insulin pump to treat Type 1 Diabetes. After disconnecting from the pump permanently this meant going back to 7-8 shots a day. It also required all his prescriptions to change. He is now on the insulin pen which comes pre-filled, therefore, we had many unused/unopened vials of insulin which I had stocked up. My son's doctor told us of a child who was just diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and was still hospitalized, but he didn't have health insurance to help pay for insulin or diabetes supplies.
It's heartbreaking when children don't have health insurance and having a disease such as diabetes is very costly. Even though my son requested to be an anonymous donor, he was very happy to help someone who can really benefit from it. He doesn't know I took this photo of him at the Hospital yesterday when we went there to donate the supplies.
If you or someone you know has Type 1 Diabetes and prescriptions change, please consider donating unused supplies by contacting your Endocrinologist. There is no CURE for Type 1 Diabetes and it's not something a child outgrows. There is more focus on the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in US Schools. How about, No Child left uninsured?
This young model will do anything for attention. He posed for me in this pink dress in exchange for two meals a day and a neck rub.

“I didn't ask for it to be over, but then again, I never asked for it to begin. For that's the way it is with life, as some of the most beautiful days come completely by chance. But even the most beautiful days eventually have their sunsets.”

PS- I really have to thank Henrik for the inspiration, kind words, and continuous encouragement to do self-portraits, not to mention photography in general!
I never knew you could learn so much from self-portraits. Try it!
Probably Bugula neritina. The Eelgrass, Zostera marina, was quite old, ~7mm across. Bryozoan extended 30 mm from eelgrass.
Found washed ashore recently,

Bryozoans are miniature animals that nearly all live colonially, so the tiny organisms share this structure somewhat like a group of corals do. This one is a common fouling organism on boat hulls and harbor installations. (Intertidal Invertebrates of California, Morris et. al.) I had originally thought this was an epiphytic (one that grows on another) seaweed, but was straightened out by my friend who wants to remain anonymous.
No name on this cross or on the headstone. I always think it's sad when no comes to tend graves anymore.

Damn! I lost nearly 8Gb of shots due to a corrupt card - still trying to see if anything is recoverable! That includes all of the shots from Blackfriars and what little I got of Chinese New Year. Only have some shots from Tottenham Court Road left - which luckily were on another card! Damn!
