Thanks so much for the visit!

Flying squirrels are close cousins of tree squirrels. They don't actually fly, but rather glide between trees using a furry membrane that stretches from wrist to ankle. You can see the membrane folded on the side of the body here. The image may seem almost natural, but a closer look at the eye makes it clear that it is indoors. Taken at a small animal exhibit at the NECCC conference. New England Council of Camera Clubs used to hold a great annual conference series in Amherst with spectacular presentations, model shoots, and setups. Sadly, it is no more.

Zoo Animals

There always seems to be a stigma between Zoo Animals and Creatures in the Wild, from a photographic point but as I cannot get about as well as I could. So if you can get the right image, that’s good, and makes me well satisfied of what I can achieve. Hope you like this series. I know I enjoyed the experience. Stay safe. Patrick

Ps I’m now having computer problems so there will be a little delay in responding. Just typical.

Last Sunday, I had a great opportunity to capture images inside a terrain with many young born sheeps. I like the attached a lot, as it creates some smile just when watching. Looking at local weather here today, just the opposite is happening. But there is not bad weather, just...All good weekend ahead. Thanks, Udo.

Another edit for the day. This time using Photoshop.

It looks like an Animal lurking in the grass. No real animals were used in this edit, it was all plants.

Lovely animals photographed in a "cat shelter" that houses abandoned and stray cats awaiting adoption.
