Q121 Wind Tunnel. I had to do a 4 shot Pano with my widest lens to get this Close Up shot of Q121 wind Tunnel. It took a fair bit of stitching in PS and has some crazy distortion due to the positioning of the subject.
46233 Duchess of Sutherland crosses the River Avon at Eckington this evening, with the return Cathedrals Express from Worcester to London, via Kemble & Swindon. This location was the obvious shot with the sun shining in that position, and indeed everyone else had the same idea! With a large gallery already assembled on the river bank when I arrived I headed into this field (there's now a kissing gate into it which I can't remember being there before) to get a different viewpoint. Also the classic view here is sadly being encroached on by vegetation and tress on the river bank.
Taken with a polariser fitted.
Some abstract work again with Black card whilst not doing my usual seascape work. This is simply the card folded into random triangles to create the different shades. A small soft box was used in a variety of positions till i was happy with the light.
For this weeks challenge "Dutch Angle" I went with a display that my wife has in our main bathroom. For the lighting I used 2 sources, one being a lamp we have in the room and the other is a blue ring light.

This is another handheld image taken last winter at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. The light was harsh and in front of me when I arrived at this spot, but the cloud cover and the feeling of grandeur really appealed to me....so I took three autobracketed exposures at a wider angle in an attempt to capture the scene.
I've been experimenting with a software program called "FDR Tools" that allows a multi-exposure image to be blended together to bring out the nuances of color and light that aren't available in a single exposure shot.
So far, the software (which is freeware) looks promising. You can download a free copy of the basic program here:

I tried getting a different angle of the Partition Arch as you can see a part of it is on the right side of the image.

A strange fence on the side of a townhouse. The outwardly angled top bars seem to have been installed as an afterthought to deter people from climbing over. Happy Fence Friday!
Posting for interest. When I brought in my geraniums in the autumn, there was a fat green caterpillar feasting on the leaves. When it had had its fill I bought a jar for it and put in some moss and it duly buried itself under the moss. Lo and behold, three months later we have a tiny angle shades moth. Brand new and perfect.

I accidentally installed the last element of my LCA+ Wide Angle Lens the other way around thus creating this tunnel vision effect.
