I finally dared to make an angel image, I love images of winged people!
I woke up with this idea in my head, and just had to make it.
"Gabriel, from heaven's king
Sent to the maiden sweet,
Brought to her blissful tiding
And fair 'gan her to greet.
'Hail be thou, full of grace aright!
For so God's Son, the heaven's light,
Loves man, that He | a man will be | and take
Flesh of thee, maiden bright,
Mankind free for to make
Of sin and devil's might.'"

Another CAMERADERIE challenge, a month long endeavour to face these extraordinary circumstances with a picture each day.
DAY 6 – Keeping me company through long working hours, a little plaster angel I bought from a street vendor in Strasbourg.
As the isolation obliges, I will be shooting details from my house and backyard, cropping all to squares. As it’s a single camera and a single lens type of challenge, I’ll be using only Fuji XE2 and Jupiter-8, a vintage 50mm f2 lens.

Basilica of Maria Trost
The Basilica of Nativity of the Virgin Mary, also parish and Pilgrimage church Graz-Maria Trost, is an at the hill Purberg situated Catholic church in Graz-Mariatrost (11th district). The baroque building with former Paulaner (The Minims (also called the Minimi or Order of Minims, abbreviated O.M.)) respectively Franciscan monastery Maria Trost is one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Styria.
History

Maria Trost belongs to the most important Marian Shrines of Styria. Destination of pilgrims who came and still come from Austria, Hungary and Croatia, is a Miraculous statue of the Virgin, which stems from the monastery of Rein not far away from Graz and originally stood in the house chapel of the (small palace) Purbergschlössls. The owner of the property, Franz Caspar Conduzi, in 1708 handed it out to the Order of the Pauline.
1714 after the official recognition as a place of pilgrimage, the foundation stone for the church was laid. The construction under Andreas Stengg with his son Johann Georg Stengg was began. Yet five years later, the first church services were celebrated. Emperor Charles VI. ordered the construction of a road from Graz to Maria Trost to improve the accessibility of the place. The shell of the church was completed in 1724. However, the full completion lasted until 1779. A few years later, the Paulines but had to leave Maria Trost during the Josephine Reforms.
The monastery and pilgrimage church evolved into a parish church and the monastery tracts that had been sold to a butcher were converted into stables. Between 1846 and 1996, the Franciscan the church as a place of pilgrimage ran again. In October 1968, in the basilica the Mariatroster statement (Humanae vitae (Latin Of Human Life)) was published. 1996 the Order left the monastery. Since then, the parish is looked after by priests of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau. The upturn culminated on 28 October when the church was elevated to become a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II. In this context, a total renovation of the complex took place.

Description
Maria Trost basilica from the North
Maria Trost basilica from the Angelus stairs
The sanctuary stands at Purberg (from Burgberg "Castle Hill", 469 m above sea level) in the north-east of Graz. It is accessible via the Angelus staircase with 216 steps.
The basilica is attributable to the high form of the Baroque of the emperors. Two four-storey façade towers (61 m) and a dome are the visible from afar features of the structural shell of this cross-domed church. It is surrounded by the buildings of a former Pauline (1708-86) and later Franciscan monastery (1842-1996). At the level of the last third of the Angelus stairs there is a medium-size bronze sculpture of the Annucination Angel Gabriel created in 2000 by Grazer artist Erwin Huber.
Construction
Detail of the facade
The church building with two four-storey façade towers is enclosed by the wings of the monastery. Above the crossing of the basilica sits a dome. There are chapels at either side. The model for the church is the Jesuit church of the Gesù in Rome.
Interior
In the center of the high altar stands a late Gothic statue of the Virgin Mary of 1465, which comes from the monastery of Rein. 1695 it has been transformed by a baroque coating by Bernhard Echter to Our Mother of Grace. Above the statue is an inscription, which is carried by angels - solatium vitae nostrae (consolation of our lives). The vaulted ceilings, the dome and the side walls of the church interior are equipped with frescoes by Lukas von Schram and Johann Baptist Scheidt from 1733 to 1754. In a representation is reminded of the decisive victory of Austria over the Turks. The Emperor with his generals looks thanking skywards. Angels hold the name of the Virgin Mary in their hands.
Dome frescoes
In dome fresco the Mother of God is venerated as Queen of Heaven and of the light of the Holy Spirit Dove illuminated. At the foot of the dome can be found in depictions the four Evangelists, at the supports of the vaults the four Western Church Fathers: St. Gregory the Great, Jerome, Ambrose and Augustine. In the side chapels of the basilica, the histories of the shrine with Mary as a helper and comforter are shown.
Organ
The organ case is decorated with the figures of King David and Saint Cecilia. The pulpit was created by Veit Königer in 1779. At the sound cover there is an allegorical representation of the faith (Cross); at the cage of the pulpit representations of Hope (Anchor) and Love (Heart). The three reliefs of the cage show scenes from the life of Mary (betrothal of Mary and Joseph, the encounter of the Virgin with Elizabeth, Assumption). The reliefs at the staircase represent miracles, the one on the back wall the Annunciation to Mary. A similar pulpit is located in the parish church of Nestelbach not far away from Graz, also by Königer.

Fiestas Del Pilar 2015. Rosario de Cristal. Zaragoza

[Walter Benjamin]
"According to the teaching of the Roman catechism, we must remember how admirable was the intention of divine Providence in entrusting to the angels the mission of watching over all mankind, and over individual human beings, lest they should fall victims to the grave dangers which they encounter. In this earthly life, when children have to make their way along a path beset with obstacles and snares, their fathers take care to call upon the help of those who can look after them and come to their aid in adversity. In the same way our Father in heaven has charged his angels to come to our assistance during our earthly journey which leads us to our blessed fatherland, so that, protected by the angels' help and care, we may avoid the snares upon our path, subdue our passions and, under this angelic guidance, follow always the straight and sure road which leads to Paradise..."
- Pope Bl. John XXIII.
