Hydroelectric power is being generated at Hartwell Dam near Hartwell, Ga. & Anderson S.C.

The daffodil is one of my favorite flowers. It is an early bloomer here in upstate South Carolina & it has bloomed earlier than usual this year. I suppose because of the warm weather. I picked one from my back yard and tried to photograph them in a variety of ways .... these are only a few of what I worked on. I used Lightroom CC & Nik Color Efex Pro 4 for editing with a lot of experimenting. Camera was Canon 6D & Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art lens. A very sharp lens! Enjoy!

A red barn in southern Anderson Co.. This barn is active and in use.

See my earlier photo with the windmill. It served this house. It needs a fix-up and a family that can make a living farming......alas that's gone.

The Anderson Job waits for the conductor to line him up to drop off 8 cars for NS. Afterwards, they will become the Belton & take their one remaining car to Belton, where they'll interchange with the Greenville & Western. 1-28-20

Something different.

Hope you like it.

Have a great day everyone.

I hope i have id this caterpillar correctly .... he and many of these fellas are all over my yard, driveway, streets and roads. I hope they don't become a problem later.

Wish I could make it look like it really was. Taken from my back yard.

This storm hit about 5:30 PM near my home. It turned out to be a really bad storm with hail, wind & lightning. I had no apparent damage, but there was considerable wind & hail damage nearby. See two other photos.

This family is really good. I don't know or remember their names or the family name. There is the father & mother, she is behind playing the bass fiddle and two boys and a daughter. I remember they were from some where in South Carolina. Haven't seen them lately, but I remember how well they blended together.

A group of streets on the west side of Anderson were named in alphabetical order; A, B, C, D, etc. Most of the residents that lived on these streets were textile workers & they worked the nearby Abney, Appleton & Anderson textile plants that flourished from the early 1900's till the 1980's & 90's.

A vintage red barn ... still in use.

The smoke from the N.C., Ga., & S.C. mountain fires settle over Lake Hartwell. A very surreal look & feeling & the odor was very distinct.

Another old farm home goes by the way.

Wilbur Ashley's Auto Service in Anderson, South Carolina

Same farm as another with a different view.

Just a simple country road. Nothing really interesting except the feeling of being in the non stressful solitude of land & sky.
