This is old barn is located in southern Anderson Co., S.C.

A buzzard flies over the ruins of an abandoned farm home in southern Anderson Co, SC. Lens was a Canon 24-105.

This photo was made on Shackelburg Road. These old barns are disappearing across our southern landscape. In just a few years they will be gone. The family farms are a thing of the past.

Back in the 50's I used to frequent this little store & buy Coca Cola, Upper 10's & NuGrape along with Planters peanuts & Lance crackers for the construction guys morning breaks while they were working. Closed many years ago, but the memories remain.

Found this colorful Christmas decorated barn in southern Anderson Co., SC last week. It appears to be a functioning barn.

Near Five Forks in Anderson Co, SC - Pearman Rd.

This old barn is in the Hartwell Lake area of Anderson Co, SC. It's still functiong as the cow can attest to.

A functioning barn that's been there a long time.

A pair of Pickens U18Bs burble up the Anderson interchange connection to swap cars with the other Pickens job waiting in the background on February 14, 2025. This is the only place in the world you can still see U-boat pairs in regular service, which has resulted in the Pickens Railroad becoming a very popular destination among the railfan community. This railroad is packed with plenty of great shots and is high on my list of places to return to.
