I made this in a really little piece of paper so it works as a good luck charm containing all my favorite things - at least the ones that were my faves a year ago cos i'd surely add and remove a couple ones now :p

This couple is making a sort of charms for lovers and friends. This kind of amulet can be find in almost every temple in Japan. People usually write wishes on it, but this is the first time I see one dedicated for couples.

Djedkhonsefankh wears a wig that is typical of the preceding 22nd Dynasty, a sign of archaism as it was dedicated by his son Nekhttefnut. This block statue only renders the shape of the hands and head.

Djedkhonsefankh is seen adoring the gods Ptah-Sokar and Khonsu on sides.

Zekhensefankh, son of Harsiesi, and grandson of King Harsiesi. Block statue with Hathor amulet on front and deceased adoring bark of Ptah-Sokar and adoring Khons on sides. Dedicated by son Nekhtefmut.

The word wadj refers to both the papyrus plant and the colour green in the ancient Egyptian language. Green was associated with regeneration and rebirth, while the papyrus plant also signified new life.

An Ubobo (Rabbit baby) is a modern variation on a Sarubobo (Monkey baby), a type of amulet doll with no facial features that is particularly associated with the town of Takayama. Here the Ubobo is seated on a piece of vintage kimono silk decorated with hand-painted rabbits.
