From a recent "photo-walk" organized by one of my friends. I don't usually work with a dedicated model so this was bit out of my comfort zone. But you've always got to be pushing yourself in order to get better, right?

Description on CCtoys:
"Illustration for Elegant & Gothic Neo Blythe “Ambrosial”
"The seductive scent that beckons to us in the dark of night,
Ambrosial is waiting for you.
She wants a hug.
Take her hand and she will lead you to the light."
We are happy to introduce you to the very first Gothic Blythe doll.
This special Blythe wears all black.
Her dress is a shiny black fabric trimmed with lovely lace.
There are two rows of tiny crocheted black lace down the front of the dress.
They meet at the ruffled hem of the dress with a line of black rose lace.
Around the bottom hem you will find more lovely lace.
The standout piece for this doll is the black felt, top hat. It bears a bold coat of arms with crown, wings, and fleur de lis.
The top hat ties with a blue bow.
She also wears sweet bow earrings and lovely red fingernail polish.
Her tall black boots are off set with her cheeky fishnet stockings.
She has long platinum blonde hair with blunt bangs.
She has a special light purple eye chip with a frontward gaze.
She has grey eyeshadow, pink lipstick and blush.
She has fair skin.
She comes with a black stand."
bursage, Ambrosia dumosa, California, White Mountains, Owens Valley drainage, elevation 1380 m (4520 ft).
Usually co-dominant with creosote bush (Larrea tridentata) in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, bursage extends shortly northward by itself, reaching its northernmost limits along the lowest-elevation southern margin of the White Mountains, including this location. Here the species is scattered among more than two dozen other shrub species forming a mixed desert shrubland zone just above the Mojave Desert and below the sagebrush zone. Very widely scattered (as in, miles apart) individuals of creosote bush also turn up in warmer microsites within this zone, some old enough to possibly be climatic relicts instead of recent dispersals from farther south.
I just think it really stands out a lot more in this sepia tone. This was from another Ambrosia shoot I did earlier today which was quite a success because of the talented people on the team!

Ambrosiaa!!! I know i haven't taken much pictures of her.. but she's a bit finicky with the clothes sometimes....
“This is my van, Ambrosia. We’re making a trip to Calais; taking donated supplies to the people out there. Although the jungle has now gone there are still around a thousand people living rough in the surrounding areas.
Calais completely changed my life. I worked in Paris for eight years. I was an exec with a nice job in film distribution. But after I visited Calais I knew what I wanted to do. I met this amazing woman who set up the women’s and children centre. I was so impressed with what she was trying to do. And I saw how desperate the need was. So I quit my job and started volunteering. I spent a year there and I loved it. While I was there I realised I could be a lot more useful if I could drive. So I came back to England for a week. Did an intensive driving course and passed. My gran was so proud. She was from a generation when it was much less common for women to drive. It also gave me opportunity to spend some final time with her. She had brought me up since I was five. She was effectively my mother. She died while I was in France. But from her death came this, the van. I bought it with the small amount of money she left me.
After I left Calais I travelled round for a while. I originally came here to Leeds to do up the van and do more travelling. I sent an email to RJFP asking for any volunteer opportunities. I used to run shifts in a big bar/restaurant in Paris. They sent me a reply back straight away, offering me a job. I came to see the church and people here. I was worried and told them, “I’m really sorry - I’m a lesbian and an atheist.” And they all cheered. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming. I knew this place was special. That was two years ago now. Calais did break me a little. A lot happened in that year. I needed some time to heal and Leeds gave me exactly that.
I don’t know what my gran would think of the van. She probably wouldn’t think it was ladylike enough for me. But I also hope she’d be secretly quite impressed.”

Lime "Génoise" and Salted Cashew Ice Cream
Again, an excellent dessert - I only had a few bites of this tropical fruit and citrus creation.
