A regional dessert based on a cream made of curd, sour cream and whipped cream. This is mixed with hazelnuts, chopped meringue and the special ingredient roasted pumpernickel. The fruit layer is made of cherries flavored with cognac. A bit of chocolate on top ... mmmmh

A good friend JP once told me it was rare to see me post a close up of Ambrosia's face, which is true ...... then on nexus a while ago a young man told me I was boring as I never changed her, she was the same char , I needed to switch up and play different chars. Well I think he is wrong as she is the one........ I can not think what it would be like to not play her, lol would not want to say how many hours I have spent in paint refining her look ( from her tats to her hair and eyes, her paints, ) to get her to where I am ever so happy with her but its a lot lol........so just a shot of my NOT boring special girl Ambrosia!!

First Crocus
This morning, flowers cracked open
the earth’s brown shell. Spring
leaves spilled everywhere
though winter’s stern hand
could come down again at any moment
to break the delicate yolk
of a new bloom.
The crocus don’t see this as they chatter
beneath a cheerful petal of spring sky.
They ignore the air’s brisk arm
as they peer at their fresh stems, step
on the leftover fragments
of old leaves.
When the night wind twists them to pieces,
they will die like this: laughing,
tossing their brilliant heads
in the bitter air.

The Greek Mythology Summary of Persephone
Demeter, goddess of the corn and harvest, has one daughter, Persephone, the maiden of spring. Hades, god of the Underworld, kidnaps Persephone and brings her down to be his wife in the Underworld. Grief-stricken and confused, Demeter withholds her gifts from the world, which becomes “a frozen desert.” She comes down to human beings in the form of an elderly woman and is taken in by a woman named Metaneira. At night, Demeter attempts to grant Metaneira’s son immortal youth by secretly anointing the boy with ambrosia and placing him in a hot fire. When Metaneira discovers Demeter putting her son in the fire, she becomes irate. Demeter then sheds her disguise and demands that the people of the town build her a temple.
In this temple, far removed from the other gods in Olympus, Demeter sits in longing for her daughter. The earth, meanwhile, freezes to a bitter cold that threatens mankind’s extinction. Finally, Zeus intervenes by telling Hermes to go down to the underworld and bring Persephone back. Hades knows he must agree to Zeus’s terms, but he gives Persephone four pomegranate seeds, knowing that if she eats them she will have to return to him. With her daughter back, Demeter leaves her temple and joins the other gods on Mount Olympus. But because Persephone does eat the pomegranate seeds, she must return to the Underworld for four months a year - one month for every seed she ate. In these months, Demeter grieves and the earth goes through winter.

Ambrosia chamissonis, also called silver beachweed, is the most dominant plant on the beach side of the foredunes here.
It's the advance force that colonizes the level beach sand. The plants trap blowing sand, and as the sand gathers the stems grow longer and capture more sand. Over time dunes begin to form around the silver-beachweed nucleus. The beach grass follows.
Silver beachweed gives off a pungent, spicy aroma similar to that produced by some desert plants.

A gente sempre curtiu esse doce mas não sabia fazer. Peguei algumas receitas na internet e não ficavam do jeito que eu queria, até que achei em um livro antigo da União (presente da Vó Landa - livros relíquias de família!) a receita desta ambrosia só que com maracujá.
Adaptei a receita e achei que ficou muito boa!
Ela é cheia de segredinhos, tem hora pra mexer, hora pra deixar quieta, hora de apenas olhar e curtir o cheirinho de casa de vó... rs. Mas posso contar um pouquinho do que já tentei aqui.
Primeiro a receita:
750ml de leite integral (o desnatado não funciona! é engordativa mesmo)
500gr de açúcar refinado (açúcar comum mesmo, de adoçar café)
6 ovos
5 gotinhas de baunilha
Suco de 1/4 de limão (pega o limão, corta no meio e espreme metade dele)
Bate tudo no liquidificador.
