Amber Fort, Amer, Jaipur
Jaipur is the doorway to the region in India that has the most exotic and some living forts in the country and the world.
Jaipur is part of the Golden Triangle that forms the highest tourist footfall in North India. Agra, Delhi and Jaipur make up the three points of the triangle. Our first stop in Jaipur was this Amber Fort, also called Amer Fort, named after and located in an erstwhile capital town. Because of resource constraints at Amer, the town moved many years ago to what is now Jaipur. This is where the prince lived previously but royalty deserted this to the City Palace which is now in the heart of the city.

Today we visit the Amber Palace and Fort of Jaipur. The Fort runs along the hills surrounding the Palace and is quite a view!

Amer or Amber Fort is located in Amer, a town with an area of 4 square kilometres located 11 kms from Jaipur, Rajasthan state, India. Located high on a hill, it is the principal tourist attraction in the Jaipur area.The town of Amer was originally built by Meenas, and later it was ruled by Raja Raja mansingh.
Amer Fort is known for its artistic Hindu style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake.It is the main source of water for the Amer Palace.The Amer Fort is also popularly known as the Amer Palace.The palace was the residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families.

A bit damp from a shower and slightly backlit.
Sorry another fox shot I don't have a camera the now trading in the Z6.2 was going to get the Z8 but read some issues with a batch so probably get Z9.

Cambridge has to be one of the best places left in the UK to see large numbers of ancient sodium street lighting still in main road use. This elderly 1960s AEI 'Amber' sodium lantern, seen burning a 90w SOX sodium lamp and held aloft on an even older bracket, is typical of the many old street lights to be found in the City. Sadly, all of this will all soon be history, as the City is about to undergo a massive PFI funded street lighting renewal program.

Early December and the amber hues of the dry water rushes reflect in a Rhode Island coastal pond. The beauty of amber and blue together plus a wonderful play of light and movement in the water and grasses are deepened by the late afternoon sunlight.
