Amazon.com and Daimler are interesting examples of companies pro-actively looking at innovative business models
On 13th May, the ESCP Europe London Campus hosted a roundtable discussion for its May Alumnight event.
Attending were alumni of the School and current students from the MBA in International Management programme.
Alumni now working at companies such as Goldman Sachs, EBRD, HSBC, Credit Suisse, Amazon Web Services, Kony, ARUP, Clinigen, Verity & Co, Terres Neuves, and Column5 Consulting joined us.
On the list of topics discussed were: private equity, corporate finance, fintech, luxury brands, marketing, consulting and digital. Attendees were given valuable careers advice from the alumni guests on these sectors, including the opportunities specifically available in the UK job market.

A Palestra do Jinesh (@jinman) foi muito interessante e visionária, mas mostrou como os recursos de cloud computing já é uma realidade disponível e acessível.
Ele destacou o exemplo da Rede Social de Moda - byMK - que utiliza os serviços da Amazon Web Services.
"O byMK, por exemplo, utiliza atualmente vários serviços de cloud computing, ambos da Amazon. Todo o ambiente de produção está em “máquinas virtuais”. A forma de pagamento é por hora de uso e por uso de banda de rede, com preços bem atrativos."

Achei legal, pois descobri que o site que cria apresentações online - www.animoto.com - utiliza o AWS. Recomendo a todos testarem, pois é um serviço MUITO interessante e que deve consumir muito processamento do servidor.
