Amazon parrot is the common name for a parrot of the genus Amazona. These are medium-size parrots native to the New World ranging from South America to Mexico and the Caribbean.
Most Amazon parrots are predominantly green, with accenting colors that depend on the species and can be quite vivid. They feed primarily on seeds, nuts, and fruits, supplemented by leafy matter.
Many amazon parrots have a remarkable ability to mimic human speech and other sounds. Partly because of this they are popular as pets or companion parrots, and a small industry has developed in breeding parrots in captivity for this market. This popularity has led to many parrots being taken from the wild to the extent that some species have become threatened. Seattle-based internet retail giant Amazon is breaking ground to construct an 855,000-square foot facility. The Bessemer Fulfillment Center is a $325 million project and is expected to employ more than 1,500 full-time employees. (Governor's Office/Hal Yeager)
Cotococha Amazon Lodge is located on the shores of the Napo River. The Napo River is one of the major tributaries of the great Amazon River.
In the evenings and mornings you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets and sunrises, which colour the skies, waters and the Amazon rainforest.
Because the Napo River has a low water level, you can take a refreshing swim or simply relax on the small sandy beach. The shore is also used as a dock for Cotococha's canoe, where several of Ecuador's Amazon tours depart.
I felt privileged to stumble upon these riders from the organization, Amazon Heart (www.amazonheart.org). They've come from all around the USA and even as far as Australia and the UK, to take part in this 8-day ride to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. All 21 riders and 4 support van drivers are breast cancer survivors.

I downloaded "Fearless" to my TiVo from Amazon's UnBox. It didn't allow me to burn the movie to DVD on my Humax TiVo. I wanted to see if it was possible to pull the movie to my PC, but this was also blocked.
Amazon Devices are all the devices manufactured by Amazon, including Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Fire TV streaming media players, Echo devices, Dash Buttons and more.
Last summer (August 06) Amazon had this special on Ambient Orbs for $20. Actually, I think it was more like some intern messed up the price when it was added it to the database (the Orbs are usually $150), but whatever. I ordered two.
And then Amazon noticed their mistake. But instead of sending everyone a "sorry, we messed up - we can't sell these for $20" email, they just keep delaying the shipping date of the order. Over and over again. But the thing is, they DO have them instock (just not their special $20 ones).
So Amazon, fuck you! I want my orb(s). And I will keep replying to your "approve this shipping delay?" emails till the day I die! Yippie kay yay!
