Rude montée par des escaliers aux marches hautes et tordues, bien pire qu'un bon vieux sentier mais quel panorama une fois en haut ...
November 27, 2016 - South of I-80 Minden Interchange, US

Rare for Nebraska in November that is....
There was some risk of severe weather that afternoon. In fact.... way out of season severe weather. There was just enough instability by afternoon to allow the thunderstorms to develop, strengthen, and even spin up a few tornadoes in the 4-5 p.m. CST time frame.
I had a 5 hour drive back from Missouri and was exhausted. Plus I had to work in a few hours so chasing this storm was just not possible that afternoon. But I did venture out to capture a few snaps of that afternoons events.
Pictured here were the cells effecting the Red Cloud to Clay Center Nebraska areas. I was just to the south of the I-80 Minden Interchange. Found a cozy spot without any powerlines and pointed my camera to the east southeast.
Some amazing captures to finalize my severe weather photography for 2016

Carrying on a tradition I have done many times of begging the great photogs I know here on flickr to let me play with their beautiful photographs.
My Victoria friend Lotus is a great documentarian of the beauty of our city. I follow her stream closely and she really has some wonderful images. This one really caught my eye and I asked if I could post-process it and post it here on my stream. I may have made it worse. Who knows.
The cool thing about this photo IMHO is how the bloomed poppy looks like it is exploding out of the pod that is nestled into it. They are two separate flowers, but they appear as one.
Hope you like my version and if you don't, check out the original!
Just noticed there is no EXIF data on this for some reason so maybe no explore...oh well. It is worthwhile for the amazing capture. I hope I did it justice.

Somewhere on the side of the road.
Lost my faith, lost my goals.
Decided to leave it all behind.
Look upstairs and found my mind.
Have you ever wondered, what your fellow urban explores look like , who risk life and limb to bring you the most amazing captures .These people are just like you and me , but have a driving ambition to record the beauty in decay at all costs. This is the start of gallery for these people who inspire many of us and continue to do so .... So glad to start of witha real legend of the urbex world ANDRE GOVIA
andre has been into urbex from 2001 and taking photos from 2006 with dlsr t here is a account of such a explore
The plan was to hit the well known Kirkbride Building that was part of the Hudson river asylum in NJ (usa)
As we arrived so did the guards !
Then started the 3 hour manhunt in the woodland in the grounds of the asylum,at one point we were almost up a tree ,the heat was unbearable as we ran about in the poison ivy ,we buried our cameras near the road as guards in trucks drove up and down the road looking for us ! it was survival of the fittest and all our urbex escape skills were put to the test ! getting caught was not an option as these guards were playing to win ! with the risk of $2000 fine we went into Rambo mode !!
we got away in the end .

The heavy seas which pounded the eastern coast of Australia produced spectacular scenes at many of the beaches, and many of these beaches along the eastern seaboard were closed during the crowded New Year period.
