Girlie and the fir-tree. Reposted for Happy Caturday theme - "Purrsonality"

Vas'ka, who is sitting on the refrigerator, is amazed at the number of pigeons that have flown to the roof of the barn, where bird food is poured.

Thank you for visits, favs and comments. It's Greatly appreciated!

Utterly amazed, the tree looks at us humans in this late november.

Have they gone mad?

Hopefully better times will come soon.

The many moods of Mt. Baker never cease to amaze me. In the early morning, it always gives me a sense of wonder with its awesome beauty.

Last sunrays on the top of Vestrahorn mountains seen from the Cap Stokksnes in the south-eastern Iceland.

I was amazed by the mysterious shape of this mountain overlooking forcefully the landscape surroundings. A true wonder of nature. Next to it we feel so small.

This was something I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes...this Black-crowned Night Heron was standing on the dock about 2' above water and I commented "what's it doing, it can't get a fish from that height" then it literally dove into the water head first completely emerging it's body and came out with this fish. We watched in 'amazement' as it proceeded to swallow the whole thing!

Un de mes plus grands bonheurs en photographie est lors de la visite de ce merveilleux oiseau... toujours aussi fascinant et il ne cesse de m'émerveiller à chaque fois...

One of my greatest joys in photography is when visiting this wonderful bird ... always so fascinating and it never ceases to amaze me every time ...

Merci à tous ceux qui prennent le temps de voir, commenter et aimer mes photos!

It never ceases to amaze me how a little light changes a view. This of course is Looking Glass Rock once more, instead of sunset, or afternoon light I opted to travel down here at 4 in the morning, setup a composition slowly, painstakingly... and not to mention in frigid temperatures. Not that it was very cold as far as the ambient temperature's were concerned, no it was only 37f, not awful... No the real problem was the wind, chill you to the bone in moments. If you want shots like this, you have to wait, be patient, not let the weather dissuade you. Photography takes setup, concentration, and the forethought to bring gloves. [No, seriously, I desperately need to get some dedicated gloves for this.] I watched other photographers come, give up because the clouds were blocking the first rays of light from the sun, and that to me is tragic. Wait a bit longer, salvage the shot, and plan for next time. I presently am waiting for a thermal inversion at this location, but that is all about patience, and a bit of luck.

No filters, just numb hands, legs, feet. Really, I need some gloves.

♫Every time our eyes meet

This feeling inside me

Is almost more than I can take

Baby, when you touch me

I can feel how much you love me

And it just blows me away

I've never been this close to anyone or anything

I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do

I'm so in love with you

It just keeps getting better

I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side

Forever and ever

Every little thing that you do

Baby, I'm amazed by you♫

I have just recently noticed the myriad of tiny green acorns that have fallen from the trees. I don't know if it's the extreme heat or if this is just when they normally fall. I don't recall seeing so many green ones before but I'm sure it's just because I've never had my eyes wide open. I fell in love with them and took a handful home from my walk yesterday evening. I got a lot of funny looks from people as I was squatting down to hand select the acorns from the ground... that's okay, I just smiled and carried on. :-)

It amazes me to think that the subtle, slow moving and constant forces of nature are seemingly always at work. Take an old railway track like this one where the force of nature has bent and changed the shape of this railway track. Simply Amazing.

This is the real, original goal of my adventure with photography - nightscapes images. I am constantly trying to achieve this fleeting mood of communing with the Greatness of the Creator in one pure exposure. I talked my wife into taking photos at night - we had literally an hour before the match (Poland won the European Volleyball Championship), the match started at 9 p.m., and we went to take photos at 8 p.m., close to the house, 1.5 km away. My wife was reading a book in the car at that time!!! I took 29 photos in an hour (the day before I tested the camera settings from the balcony). What can you do, you can see that even such old equipment (borrowed from a friend just for fun, because my friend's is in a drawer and not used at all), which I quickly learned how to use .

I focused manually - on the stars, using the image magnification and manually adjusting the focus with the focus ring (I held the heavy camera in my hands, not on a tripod). Manually focusing on a bright star - to obtain the smallest disc of a shining star possible.

After setting the focus, I took photos in different places, I moved at distances of 200-300 m, but I did not adjust the focus at all, this photo was one of the last ones in the series, taken around 9 p.m. (the little-used camera did not keep the date and time in its setup ).

Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement, to get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.

You came back! A first for us where an orchid had finished blooming last year, survived over it's dormant period, and reflowered for us. Proof that by giving it a little special care, providing the right light for it, and a little fertilizer can go a long way!

It's sure amazing sometimes when and were nature prevails. This tree found a tiny bit of space in this rocky canyon to flourish and it always amazes me what nature is capable of. Kris...

It's alway best to have the full bird (with all of the wings) in a photo, but I was amazed at how close this osprey was, so I cropped in even more tightly. And great water action, too. Early in the morning on the James Riv=er south of Richmond, Va. ©2024 | John M. Hudson

"Maybe I'm Amazed"

By: Paul McCartney

Baby, I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time

And maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time

You hung me on a line

Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I'm a man

Maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something

That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man

And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me

Baby, won't you help me to understand?

Ooh-ah

Maybe I'm a man

Maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something

That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man

And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me

Baby, won't you help me to understand?

Ooh-ah

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time

And maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song

You right me when I'm wrong

Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Oh, oh, oh

Hey-ey-hey!

Oh, oh

Oh, ooh-ooh-ooh

Yeah, yeah, yeah
