Happy Sliders Sunday

This beautiful creature amazed me.. After I took a few pictures of him resting beautifully on his rock. He got up to jump off and find food. And to my amazement.. He only had three legs, yet he could move so gracefully and with ease. Inspiring to say the least... A stunning Fox with a strong spirit!! :)

It's Monday again and time for my flower greeting. And this time in multi-million versions.

Strictly speaking, oilseed rape is not a flower, but a agricultural crop, but it flowers, as is easy to see. So that still counts.

Since the location of the fields changes every year, I'm always curious to see where I can find some. And every year I am amazed at how this bright yellow carpet changes the look of long-known landscapes.

In keeping with this, I wish you a bright and colorful week with many nice surprises.

Also zählt das trotzdem.

Vas'ka, who is sitting on the refrigerator, is amazed at the number of pigeons that have flown to the roof of the barn, where bird food is poured.

Thank you for visits, favs and comments. It's Greatly appreciated!

Utterly amazed, the tree looks at us humans in this late november.

Have they gone mad?

Hopefully better times will come soon.

When you're someplace beautiful and peaceful, a place that calms you and rejuvenates you at the same time, you tend to want to stay there, as long as possible.

That must have been how this lone boater on Diamond Lake was feeling at the time I took this photo.

I know I didn't want to leave.

It amazes me how the colors on Mt. Thielsen change depending on the lighting. Of course, that's Thielson on the left

It has always amazed me to see hummingbirds close-up and in person. This was shot at Huntington Beach Central Park, and then I added a couple of layers of my own texture.

Our amazed eyes discover the spectacular ruins of the Inca city of Wiñay Wayna (2650m).

Wiñay Wayna, whose name means "always young", was only discovered in 1942 by Julio C. Tello, 31 years after Machu Picchu.

This was something I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes...this Black-crowned Night Heron was standing on the dock about 2' above water and I commented "what's it doing, it can't get a fish from that height" then it literally dove into the water head first completely emerging it's body and came out with this fish. We watched in 'amazement' as it proceeded to swallow the whole thing!

Fields at Cliddesden, Hampshire in the evening light. As the sun sank and lent its light to the fields, I was amazed at the different colours which made a wonderful patchwork quilt of nature.

Yesterday, while I was checking on the million tasks on my garden, I discovered there are ...4 bi-coloured Tulips in it !!! WITHOUT having been planted by me!! Therefore, the Bees created a NEW variety, by the yellow AND red Tulips of the garden!!!

Getting closer to one of them, I was stunned by its Divine Painting!! Divine Art in all Its Glory!!!

Have an ....AMAZING weekend , all my dearest ones!!!!!

Here is another one of my squirrel friends at Monrepos. It was the first time I tried sunflower seeds for the squirrels because I thought they would be great for the birds too and I was quite amazed that the squirrels devoured the sunflower seeds, especially when I had just arrived and they were really very hungry. Later they took the usual hazelnuts and walnuts too.

We took a walk around Woodgate Woods in Wyberton, Boston last Sunday and amazed by how lonely and deserted it was! Just after 6pm on a very hot day, we would have expected a lot more people around. Just two cars in the car park and only three or four people were walking about.

.. endlessness .. Ostfriesland .. enjoy :)

I was quite amazed to see this rainbow well after the sun had dipped below the horizon. It appeared to be in some very high virga as we weren't getting wet on the ground. I think this is the darkest rainbow I have witnessed.

We were amazed to see this little chick swallow this trout in one gulp and then beg for more:)) It is a non stop job for these adults to feed these little guys:

"The majority of their diet consists of plant material after birth, but they are ready to eat fish after 1-2 months. Sadly, they have a hard time catching one. Loon chicks need a good 70 feeds a day from their parents. However, once the chick learns to catch the prey, they are good to go!"

I continue to be amazed at the inner beauty of milkweed seed pods

I have a special fondness for bamboo, not because they grow everywhere here in Indonesia but because of the philosophy behind it. Bamboo could easily bend in strong winds, but they rarely break. It is its durability and vitality that amazes me the most. HGGT!

Shot in January this year when I had the opportunity to visit the Peak District for a couple of hours. Walking at the top of a small mountain ridge, the sun just came through the clouds and the light was amazing. I guess that this was just luck-)

I worked on a initial version of this photo and since I work with Lightroom CC (in combination with Photoshop), I thought to give it another try. I'm actually amazed what you can pull from a file from the LX3, an older camera with some limits. But it's all about the picture and I'm pretty proud about this one!

It amazes me every year, when plants jump start the new season with a full blossom before they even create new leaves to start the energy gathering using photosynthesis.

I am still amazed! I was not expecting this at all! Thank you so much Diney McCallen, it is a huge honor!

It always amazes me how a visual sight can trigger an association with something entirely different. When i saw this gaggle of geese sharing a small island at Gray Lodge Preserve, the opening stanzas from John Donne's epic poem came immediately to mind:

"No man is an island,

Entire of itself,

Every man is a piece of the continent,

A part of the main......"

My mom read this poem to me when I was a youngster. I didn't get it then, but I get it now. I only wish we humans got along as seamlessly as the members of the bird world do.

Bonus points if you know the famous last two lines of this poem--hint: think Hemingway.

Every time our eyes meet

This feeling inside me

Is almost more than I can take

Baby, when you touch me

I can feel how much you love me

And it just blows me away

I've never been this close to anyone or anything

I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams ...

I was so amazed at the perfect details in this milkweed pod. Some of the weeds already had the fluff blowing in the wind as you can see from a previous pic that I posted.

I wish everyone a good week and I will try to get back to normal and start commenting on your wonderful pics!!

Thanks so much for your visits!!

I still feel like an SL ART FLICKR NOOB, but for those as amazed as I am by this, I never thought I would have one capture chosen for a cover, ever and here after only fourteen months this honor is the SEVENTIETH time one of my captures has been chosen for a group's cover image. Humbled. It's nice :)

You came back! A first for us where an orchid had finished blooming last year, survived over it's dormant period, and reflowered for us. Proof that by giving it a little special care, providing the right light for it, and a little fertilizer can go a long way!
