My house has the best location in the world. It only takes 15 minutes to get to a beach! Wich is good for me because I have this need to see the sea. Grew up with an ocean view, but the past 1 and a 1/2 years I've only seen the sea a handful of times.

I think I'll be going for walks on the beach a lot in future weekends :)

Inspired by my trip to Amager last week (See this album) I got up early this Saturday to see if I could catch the sunrise and other motives in the golden hour on a beautiful September morning. Inspired by Mads Peter Iversen (if you don't follow his Youtube channel then you should) I was looking particularly to get the sun rising between the pylons of the bridge (You can see how that went here) but was also hoping to get some other nice shots now that I had gotten up so early. You can see all the pictures I got this morning in this album

Amager Strand in the winter. The beach area is usually crowded whenever there is some sunlight coming through, or if it snows. Such a rare sight!

This Sunday I went with my wife for a bicycle ride on Amager with her parents and brought my camera to get some pictures for the family album. It is quite amazing in itself that my inlaws at the age of 86 are both able to ride 20 km on a bicycle but almost as amazing was the day. A cool, cloudy day with completely calm wind. During one of our breaks we ended up in a sheer motive heaven. Everywhere you looked around, compositions were waiting to be made. It was so great to experience that given the right conditions you are able to make satisfying photographs in your own backyard.

CopenHill in Copenhagen it’s a futuristic landmark as a powerplant with a ski slope on the roof, a viewing platform over the city, and supplies district heating.

With -8°C and wind gusts up to 15m/s the beach is becoming a different place. The first meters into the water are now frozen.

Inspired by Mads Peter Iversen (if you don't follow his Youtube channel then you should) I was looking particularly to get the sun rising between the pylons of the Øresundsbron bridge (You can see how that went here) but was also hoping to get some other nice shots now that I had gotten up so early. The private bathing house in Søvang was one of the more obvious motives. Although red and orange are the predominant colors of the golden hour then blue can also be found.
