While exploring Copenhagen, we found this walkway bridge to Amager Strandpark (Amager Beach Park). Still a bit sunny but a nasty storm on the horizon creating a good contrast.
Added a little grain for texture and an Xpan crop ratio (2.70:1) to the image.

The Danish Aquarium was originally located in Charlottenlund outside Copenhagen and was founded by engineer Knud Højgaard and his son, zoologist Mogens Højgaard, in 1939. At that time, it was Denmark's first public aquarium and Europe's second largest.
As the years passed, the aquarium was expanded, but despite this, it began to outgrow its existing premises. By the mid-1990s, it was clear that more space and more modern facilities were needed, but because the building was listed as a building, it could not remain in Charlottenlund - and Den Blå Planet was born. It took several years to raise money through, among other things, funds, and in 2007 an architectural competition was announced, which was won by the architectural firm 3XN. Tårnby Municipality made a beach plot on Amager available and on March 21, 2013, Den Blå Planet was inaugurated by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik.
The building's iconic design is inspired by the water and is an interpretation of the relationship between humans, nature and the boundaries between water and land. Inside the fascinating facade, knowledge about nature is conveyed through public activities, exhibitions, teaching and research, while visitors are invited to "dive into the depths" and experience the magical world of water.
This Sunday I went with my wife for a bicycle ride on Amager with her parents and brought my camera to get some pictures for the family album. It is quite amazing in itself that my inlaws at the age of 86 are both able to ride 20 km on a bicycle but almost as amazing was the day. A cool, cloudy day with completely calm wind. Duiring one of our breaks we ended up in a sheer motive heaven. Everywhehhre you looked around, compositions were waiting to be made. It was so great to experience that given the right conditions you are able to make satisfying photographs in your own backyard.

Inspired by my trip to Amager last week (See this album) I got up early this Saturday to see if I could catch the sunrise and other motives in the golden hour on a beautiful September morning. Inspired by Mads Peter Iversen (if you don't follow his Youtube channel then you should) I was looking particularly to get the sun rising between the pylons of the bridge (You can see how that went here) but was also hoping to get some other nice shots now that I had gotten up so early. You can see all the pictures I got this morning in this album
