It was cloudy and overcast on Monte Sano this morning. I thought I’d be able to get some decent early-Fall shots on the trails but it started to rain right after sunrise. In other words, I got shut out. No worries. I have plenty of alternatives.
Here’s a fishing shot I like from my sunrise scouting at Mud Creek Public Boat Ramp, just northeast of Scottsboro, Alabama.

Contrast enhanced with a "Daidoish" preset (exposure, contrast, and clear-view increased; blacks increased and whites decreased in curves to clip blacks and highlights) One iteration is described here:

Campbell Falls
Camp Creek
Camp Creek State Park
Camp Creek is one of my favorite creeks to photograph and I'm always looking for alternative views of this quite popular waterfall. During my last visit w/ my friends from the Ohio Valley Camera Club, I found the light sweet and the waterflow perfect; it was so much fun working this beautiful stream and waterfall again.
For a more traditional view, click here to see Campbell Falls bathed in autumn glory. Thanks for your visits and comments, they are much appreciated. Have a great weekend, everyone!

This image was taken while trying to gain entrance into this building. It is along the Waal in Nijmegen, empty for a number of years and there's no telling how much longer it will be standing, I used a €0,25 flea market Photon 120 Camera and Bergger Pancro 400 film. The camera is so cheap that the locking mechanism is made of translucent plastic...you gotta love it!

Peace with cappuccino in deckchair. Except for a few screaming kids with no idea about social distancing. Don't you just luv em?.

Thought I would have a go at one of these "Out of Bounds" shots that seem so popular. There are many tutorials knocking around, but I preferred to just do my own. Basically it just means creating a new file and adding an image and a frame and then adding a layer mask to the frame layer and to the photo layer then erasing the parts of the photo you don't want. However it is just a novel way of displaying, and no substitute for a good photograph.
But enjoyable to try and could become quite addictive with endless possibilities
My 2nd alternative for 76917. This time i used ONLY parts included in set mentioned before to build a Dodge Charger SRT.
