Parks and wilderness, civilization and the natural environment. Of course the latter is subject to drought and fire...
With inverted tones we see the immense structure of the - to be - leaf supporting boughs, branches and twigs - once Spring comes a solar farm.

We used Google Maps extensively on our recent western state's road trip. The application gives you the main route and also offers a couple of alternative routes. Believe it or not, this dirt road was one of the alternative routes offered. I'm glad we took it.

This Robin kept moving his head around in odd directions-- I'm not sure what he was checking out but he was clearly curious about something.
There are many lovely spots along Bow Valley Parkway in Banff National Park. I captured this freight train about 2 km north of Castle Junction.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my pictures. Your views, comments, faves and support are greatly appreciated ツ
a lone Osprey in it's nest awaiting the birth of her chicks. Isn't it amazing the creativity of these birds, and where they choose to build their nest.

Symonds Yat
A short walk from the main viewing area at Symonds Yat Rock is the alternative view point, much quieter, in fact we were the only ones there. The views of the river Wye I thought were actually better from here. In the distance you should be just able to make out the spire of the church in the village of Goodrich, and below in the valley by the side of the river some cows looking very small.

But it is the photo one of my children would have chosen for the just white paper macro Monday theme
The sun set to the right and behind a ridge not visible in this scene. However, on this occasion, as it dipped below the horizon, the brilliant reds reflected on the clouds above us and again in the water below - making it a lovely alternative to the actual sunset itself.
The technique:
I took this photograph and cropped it a little, altered hue to be this bright pink instead of green with some blurring, added a blue tinge for the sky and masked off the cows - adjusted the saturation so they were white once more and sketched them in using the graphic pen.
And the verdict.... what do you think, pop art or just rubbish??! Any honest opinions welcomed, I will not be offended!
PS this means opinions on the final result, not the fact of using an image editor! LOL : D

The vastness of the Australian outback is dwarfed by the Milky Way... and beyond. View from near Joffre Gorge, with the lights of Tom Price distant at left and a Karijini Eco Retreat bit closer on the right. Stitch of 9 photos using Hugin.
I've always been fascinating with fire escape stairs. The only thing missing here is someone running up or down. Oh well....
all told, i took 180 shots of different objects for the macromondays' theme of #fingertip(s). already chose and posted the acorn cap but thought i'd show you some of the alternative ones.
btb, these travel scrabble tiles are 1/2 an inch on each side :)
