Well, I can't say I'd want to fly long haul in these seats (my goodness, have I really not flown economy in that long?!), but on this Boeing 767-300 they did their job for the quick trip on NH175 from KIX Kansai International Airport to HKG Hong Kong International Airport. Comfy enough, but SIA has ruined me.
Kyoto Kitcho: In-flight delight of Sea bream over steamed rice in soup stock
The brainchild of Chief Chef Kunio Tokuoka of renowned
Kyoto eatery Kyoto Kitcho, this meal delivers enjoyment in
stages. First, seared sea bream is dipped in sweet sesame sauce and savored as sashimi. Second, it is relished on steamed rice garnished with condiments. Third, hot soup stock is poured over both the fish and rice, in the traditional “chazuke” style. Take the time to appreciate each stage of this versatile and tasty dish.

My first-ever visit to Japan, stretching over a week, has come to an end, and I am about to fly back to the US.
I am at Narita Airport, at the outside dining/planespotting area for Terminal 1. Even though I could probably go right through security and immigration, and spend my time at the United Club, I chose to grab a cheap tonkatsu meal and do some outdoors planespotting first.
To stretch out my journey on purpose, I am booked on United Polaris First, at the very front of the aircraft. This ticket cost me less in frequent flier miles, actually, than a straightforward United Polaris Business ticket, thanks to availability at the Saver level; also considering that United's business class hard product still consisted mostly of 8-abreast backward-facing torture chambers at this time, grabbing the open suite first class was a no-brainer. This also ensured that I would experience a first class product at United while it still lasted, as eventually the new Polaris hard product will replace both first and old business class seating at United. To maximize my First Class seat time, I am flying via Chicago.
My first class reservation also had enabled me to use the exclusive Zone Z check-in, managed by ANA for first class and highest-tier frequent fliers of ANA itself, United, Lufthansa, and Swiss. Zone Z customers get their dedicated security line, and as a result, I have an ANA pass allowing me to access it.
