Flying to Tonopah, NV. TPH was a WWII bomber training base and is on the edge of the Tonopah Test Range and occasionally helicopters will appear out of nowhere and fly with you for awhile. Rock alignments are visible at various locations and some are attributed to native Americans and others are WWII military artifacts. From time to time, you will see messages engraved into the dry lakebeds.

i don't know if these were ever straight. i like standing here, looking down the row and seeing them out of alignment. everything seems out of balance.

Conveniently, this accident between the black pickup truck and grey car happened next to an auto repair shop.
With a laser mounted in the center of the secondary, we can bounce it off the center of the primary (with a special plug inserted for this purpose) to see both how well the secondary is pointed at the primary, as well as how co-linear they are. This is important to make sure the telescope is in focus.
