You can fiddle around with vernier gauges on either side of your rim. I prefer a custom cut piece of stainless rod accurately located using the valve hole in the rim to asses the wheel for being central. The wheel must be perfectly dished.

The reference phylogenetic tree and evolution of mitochondrial intergenic spacers.Maximum likelihood tree (?ln?=?44305.147421) inferred from the aag13sp-set ALN. The analysis was performed by applying the GTR+G evolutionary model and according to the most complex partitioning scheme described in the main text. Blue-coloured numbers indicate bootstrap values expressed as percentage, whereas red-coloured numbers indicate posterior probabilities computed through Bayesian inference analysis on the same data set. The scale bar represents 0.1 substitutions/site. Occurrence and evolutionary pathway of isps exhibiting a uniqueness in term of genomic position plus sequence identity. Multiple alignments of isps, representing unique molecular signatures, are provided with invariant positions depicted on a blue background. Red/pink background is used to identify nucleotides characterizing peculiar clades. Single sequences/multiple alignments of isps, not representing unique molecular signatures, are depicted on a purple background. The inset on the bottom shows the placement of isps in the lepidopteran complete mitochondrial genome. Genes are coloured as in Figure 1.

You just start without knowing what's going to happen. I had fun this time blending colours on the surface. blogged

Tuesday 24th

Last day and we planned to go to La Trinite for old times sake, and to get a present for Stephen, and visit the 6,000 yr old alignments at Carnac which Roger had not seen. The former was successful, the latter a bit disappointing in that you could not get into the compounds and the grass was so tall the stones did not look as impressive as when I had seen them about 12 years ago with Clare. However, another beautiful day(28º) and we had to return in time to pack up for a quick getaway in the morning to drive to Roscoff. We gave ourselves time for a last swim and planned to have supper at the restaurant. The latter was not to be as it was shut on a Tuesday.

These images are from two very similar projects that I've just helped my friends with. They want to be able to hold bike frames on their alignment tables by the head tube. They both purchased used bench centers, and we had to make bull nose centers for them.

The fit up needed to be very close, so we were working to within a few tenths.

The other complication was that one of the centers on each set was spring loaded and utilized a rack and pinion to withdraw it... so we had to mill those rack gears.

Check it out for a weld sequence.

Comments and Criticism are welcome

As a precautionary measure have an alignment check and brake check once every 6 months.
