Most people who get fortunes in those cookies usually get predictions that they will meet someone, join into a romance, earn sums of money, happen upon great opportunities...

Not me....

I get told I'm gonna encounter an extraterrestrial being, poof, right out of thin air!

Not what I wanted to read after a big meal.

Alien Encounter presented by XS Technologies. As their leader Chairman Clench says "If something can’t be done done with X.S. then it shouldn’t be done at allā€.

Back when Alien Encounter was still scaring the crap out of people! Looks like there is even a line.

The Alien Encounter attraction, during the first year or so was darkly fantastic.

(Then they ruined it as some people thought it was "too scary")

They Come from another dimension. They have an agenda we are not aware of. They are already here... and they look just like us.

Six views of a space ship crashing into a house - San Diego International Airport art project - Apr 2017 In this view the grass is orange but for some reason it changes color in subsequent views.

This technique challenge was tough for me! I got off to an OK start, choosing the color (blue-grey) and background (scanning electron micrograph of a slime-mold fruiting body)--but after that...eek!! Among other things, I got distracted by how charming are those pictures of aliens as drawn by folks who've had alien encounters: if you think I put too many on this one, you should see the one I had to throw away. And I had a heck of a time choosing the right graphic for the upper left. What you see, the better of the two, is the ancient Mayan glyph for their month of "Ceh." All in all, a humbling experience....

The only documentation to survive Bob's encounter with an alien of the third kind.

Internet is currently down most of the time, and I have no idea when it will become reliable.

Exhibition Review - Yngve Holen:'Earthling' Stuart Shave/ Modern Art, London till 18th Dec 2015.

Yngve's alien-encounter is a version

of the total angle that eyed me

in the shape of a deep signal breach. - Drenched Co

Comment: "In this exhibition, I believe Yngve is still concerned with ideas about how our relationship to objects is constantly being undermined and made needlessly complex through human agency. My 'scooter' is alien to me, however much I need and depend on it. It is an alien casting its evil eye upon me, smirking like a hater-head, mirroring the distrusting and secretive industries that put it together. " - JayZee.
