Outdoor dining table in Cavtat, Croatia

The One Tree (an unidentified apple tree in our backyard) is THE dining spot for the local parrots. This is a rainbow loriqueet. Noisy clowns generally, we love them but our neighbour is forever shoo-ing them of his fig tree.

 

This cheeky fellow has been caught mid-munch on the apple below. Would have got closer but Sirocco (the cat) followed me over and started bird-whispering, and the wind had picked up after the cool change, making the branches sway.

So the chips are burnt and I'm not allowed a bun, but I have to say it was a pretty good burger and chips. The cider and sunshine helped.

Our desired reason for all the walking in the hills and by the sea was work up a hardy appetite. We found this perfect little taverna nestled in the narrow side streets. Again, Anna points out a slight spelling error on the menu board. I assumed it would be a tasty meal if one could get over chewing on glass!

These "pop up" pianos were sited throughout the city and I was amazed at how many were used by passers by. Saw them here at GOMA, outside the concert hall on Buchanan Street and at the Kelvingrove Art Galleries.
