We were heading home from lunch and saw the sky and clouds. I ran upstairs before it all dissapeared into more rain. A little later than i wished i had got, but it sure beats not getting anything at all :)
Five-storey stepwell Adalaj ni Vav built in 1499 was not just a cultural and utilitarian space, but also a spiritual refuge. It is believed that villagers would come everyday in the morning to fill water, offer prayers to the deities carved into the walls and interact with each other in the cool shade of the vav.

All the things on the power lines are kites, left over from the kite festival. Lots of kids were proudly showing off the cuts on their hands from the glass shards on the kite strings, used for kite fighting... Just one of the many "this could never happen in the US because somebody would get sued" moments I had.
