Brett Holden/Capt Ahab and his ability to find and catch fish have propelled him to be a top player in the sport-fishing world. With his finely honed crew and a battleship called the Booby Trap, he has become an unstoppable fishing machine. His desire for excellence has led the Booby Trap to become the top private boat in the Houston Big Game Fishing Club for 5 consecutive years! Capt Ahab is a pioneer and has become the most recognized sword fisherman in the Gulf of Mexico (read about it in the June 2011 issue of Sportfishing Magazine) catching a record 8 daytime swords in one day and has logged over 500 swordfish to date. Capt Ahab was also was behind the helm of the Booby Trap for the first ever recorded Super Grand Slam in the Gulf of Mexico, catching 2 Blue Marlin, 2 Swordfish, 2 Sailfish and a white marlin in a single day. When he fires the Booby Trap up he no longer sees her as a vessel but as a weapon, 40 knots in forward and 10 knots in reverse, he fears no seas only the fuel bill…

Strap on your pegs and join me in a Shakespeare Sunday salute to Herman Melville's "Moby Dick," published in America November 14, 1851. Along with its numerous literary merits, the novel lives on as the ultimate metaphor for anyone pursuing a senseless obsession so doggedly and blindly that it destroys them.

Ahab's words may be familiar to Star Trek fans. They were also spoken by Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban) in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."

"Moby Dick" is a film adaptation of Herman Melville's novel. It was directed by John Huston with a screenplay by Huston and Ray Bradbury. The film starred Gregory Peck, Richard Basehart, and Leo Genn.

Set in 19th-century New England, the story follows the whaling ship Pequod and its crew. Leading them is Captain Ahab, who was almost killed in an encounter with the "great white whale", Moby Dick. Now he is out for revenge. With the crew that has joined him, Ahab is out to destroy the huge sea mammal, but his obsession with vengeance is so great that he cannot turn back, eventually leading to the death of Ahab and all of his crew, save his newest able seaman, Ishmael. The fateful voyage of the Pequod, the whaling ship whose Captain Ahab was driven by blind hate to hunt down a white sperm whale, will be performed in a theatrical form that conveys all of the work’s drama and philosophy. The proximity to water and the far-fetched possibility that Moby Dick could have wended his way upriver as far as Linz impart a very special appeal to this production with a local hook.

Usually, putting $3 into a parking meter is a pain but this made it worth it. No, I don't know what it means either :P

It fits much more easily than the same nib in a Noodler's Ahab---the feed just happens to be a slightly better diameter. Unfortunately, it cannot be heat set the way the Ahab's ebonite feed can be.

I've gotten okay results by widening the top and bottom main feed channels with a knife, and making a few lateral cuts near the center on top. But it certainly does tend to have feed/flow/air pressure.

The advantage over the Ahab is that it's much easier to reproduce the fit when changing nibs. With the Ahab, I was having to re-set the feed too often, which is not sustainable.
