The mono version of the image I posted a day or two ago. I agree - the mono works better. Thank you Dave Feaster.

I want to walk

Into the light

Day has turned cold

Hold back the night

What will become

Of you and I

We had a dream

Don't let it die

Just hold back the night

Do you wanna be, wanna be

My dying day

My darkest hour

My overdose

Cuz that's what you'll be

Just hold back the night

There was a time

I know you'll agree

We saw it all

A glorious sight

Everyone's burned

Everything's gone

What we were then

Now we are not

So hold back the night

Do you wanna be, wanna be

My dying day

My darkest hour

My overdose

Cuz that's what you'll be

Just hold back the night

Cuz that's what you'll be

Just hold back the night

Said to be the most colorful lake on the AlCan Highway. Must agree, it was a brilliant teal green, especially when the sun broke thru the clouds.

I liked the dual reflections, skies and land.

"The jade green color of the lake is attributed to the presence of copper oxide leached from the bedrock underneath. Its name is derived from the Kaska language in which "muncho" translates as "big water."

Some have suggested it was named by camping hippies.....who got hungry......

Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start!

Linacut Linaria (Linaria cannabina) is a small species of brown passerine with rosy breast of the family Fringillidae. His chirping is pleasant and sweet, his flight is bright and light.

The linnet installs a nest made quickly, not very far from the ground, without seeming to be concerned about hiding it from the eyes of predators. This earned him this pejorative use of his name in the language of humans: "head of linnet"; her name comes from her consumption of linettes (flax seeds) which she is fond of.

Someone told me that the sunrises in Fuerteventura are stunning. Ok, after this one, taken in the Sand dunes of Coralejo, I must totally agree. Shot during the #fuertexperience2017 in Fuerteventura with the @shutterguild with an Irix 11mm f/4 courtesy of @irixlens

Despite the fine drizzling rain, Vas'ka agreed to pose for me next to the autumn chrysanthemums. He loves the smell of orange chrysanthemums.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments! It's greatly appreciated!

I agree I got carried away with the associations I had during experimenting with different screws, light sources and backgrounds (most of the images won't be seen here).

It was fun using the new light tape (it can be switched to different colours) that my husband brought home for (especially) macro work.

The four screws here were placed on a shiny plastic bag for reflections plus one on top. There are black cards in the background to darken the scene.

HMM to all participants 💙💙💙

One of the best times to take a walk is in the middle of a snow storm. I think Yuki and Luna agree.

This was taken on our trip to CA in 2021. We stopped for lunch in South Lake Tahoe, and my husband kindly agreed to pose for this fun reflection pic. HSoS!

A walk by the sea helps with everything.

I also agree with Karen Blixen when she once said that salt water, sweat, tears and the sea help with everything.

I love these places. They have a special magic all of their own.

Im sure you agree.

And I said let grief, be a fallen leaf,

This is the dress that I received from Miss Aniela, with a close up of it (and for more detail) in comments. It is the dress from this shot of hers, which is coincidentally my all time favorite of hers. Thank you again!!

I went to an old western town to get this shot...there were a bunch of tourists taking my picture from afar, videotaping me and whatnot. I think they thought I was part of a show or something, I certainly looked the part. It was cute :) I'm just glad no one asked any questions as I was flinging myself against the wall.

This is stock photo from my vacation last November...how time flies !!!!! My cousins and I agreed the cruise down the Nile was one of the best experiences in our lives ! It was so beautiful and relaxing. Today we have thunderstorms over Toronto and its raining heavily right now !!!! So together with some nostalgia and the weather I decided to post this shot ! If you get an opportunity to visit Egypt please do so, you'll have a wonderful holiday. Yalla Yalla Habibi !!!!!

I dedicate this shot to my two Egyptian Flickr friends: Ayman and Karim.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sick and tired of snakes, election year politics, Covid, and wild fire concerns, Kenzie the pup and I decided to take a ride over to the Middle Fork and relax along the river. The river is quiet at this time of year before the rains swell it into a raging fury. The water flows smooth and the reflections of the many rocks are pure magic. We hiked up river for a spell and saw nary a human. We both agreed that this was a great way to spend a morning--a man and his dog enjoying the gifts of nature.

Life is like the ocean, it goes up and down.

Sometimes changes happen when you were not expecting them.

Sometimes it's good changes, sometimes not that much.

What can you do? You either let them drown you, or you turn the page and keep walking.

Rufus, emerging from his tunnel on my patio, agrees with the groundhogs, Wiarton Willy, Fred la marmotte, and their US cousin Punxsutawney Phil...an early spring!!! After all, Rufus is also a rodent, just from a different family :)

Rufus is also busy chasing Mrs Rufus around our yard, so love is in the air!

My Son Got A Bart Simpson Balloon On His Birthday. He Accidentally Let It Go And It Floated Up To The Ceiling. Days Later It Was Still Up There. I Said, "Be Patient, It'll Come Down." But He Didn't Believe Me. "If It Comes Down I Get An iPad." He Said. I Agreed. I Glued It To The Ceiling When He Was At School.
