The Pantheon (/ˈpænθiən/ or US /ˈpænθiɒn/; Latin: Pantheon,] from Greek Πάνθεον meaning "every god") is a building in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier building commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). The present building was completed by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated about 126 AD. He retained Agrippa's original inscription, which has confused its date of construction.
The building is circular with a portico of large granite Corinthian columns (eight in the first rank and two groups of four behind) under a pediment. A rectangular vestibule links the porch to the rotunda, which is under a coffered concrete dome, with a central opening (oculus) to the sky. Almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon's dome is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.[3] The height to the oculus and the diameter of the interior circle are the same, 43.3 metres (142 ft).
It is one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings, in large part because it has been in continuous use throughout its history, and since the 7th century, the Pantheon has been used as a church dedicated to "St. Mary and the Martyrs" (Latin: Santa Maria ad Martyres) but informally known as "Santa Maria Rotonda". The square in front of the Pantheon is called Piazza della Rotonda.

Questa è la veduta su Piazza Bagni di Gurgitello (detta in breve Piazza Bagni) che avevo dall'Hotel Il Nespolo, a Casamicciola Terme, nell'isola di Ischia, dove soggiornai con mia moglie dal 9 al 23 luglio 2021. In quella piazza parcheggiavamo la macchina, passeggiavamo, bevevamo il caffè al bar.
Ieri 26/11/2022 ho visto nei telegiornali e in internet quella piazza coperta da due metri di fango, a seguito della terribile frana che ha travolto il paese e questa zona in particolare.
Dedico questa foto con immenso affetto a tutte le persone di Casamicciola e dell'Isola di Ischia, augurando loro che tutto torni presto come prima.

This is the view of Piazza Bagni di Gurgitello (called Piazza Bagni for short) that I had from the Hotel Il Nespolo, in Casamicciola Terme, on the island of Ischia, where I stayed with my wife from 9 to 23 July 2021. In that square we parked the car, we walked, we drank coffee at the bar.
Yesterday 26/11/2022 I saw on the news and on the internet that square covered by two meters of mud, following the terrible landslide that swept through the town and this area in particular.
I dedicate this photo with immense affection to all the people of Casamicciola and the Island of Ischia, wishing them that everything will soon return to the way it was before.

Stavo in un momento no, senza idee, testa vuota, giorni che studio cosa postare per l'Anno Nuovo cercando qualcosa di differente dagli anni scorsi, setacciando foto vecchie e nuove, niente mi convinceva, alla fine son caduto su questa elaborazione di un bacio ed 8 sorrisi di 9 amiche fatta anni fa per gioco ed ho pensato: eccola!
Chiedo scusa a tutte le flickeramiche perchè forse avreste preferito baci e sorrisi maschili, ma sono difficili da scovare in casa mia, sin da bambino io ho avuto sempre un debole per le femmine, scusatemi ed accettatelo perche lo posto con affetto sincero.

I was in a bad moment, out of ideas, empty-headed, days spent studying what to post for the New Year, looking for something new, different from previous years, sifting through old and new photos, nothing convincing me. At the end, I stumbled upon this elaboration of a kiss and 8 smiles from 9 female friends I made years ago for fun, and I thought: here it is!
I apologize to all the female flickers friends because perhaps you would have preferred male kisses and smiles, but they are difficult to find in my house. Since I was a child, I've always had a weakness for females. Forgive me and accept it because I post it with sincere affection.

Stasera il cielo era così (era un po' più chiaro, ma ho volutamente accorciato l'esposizione per ottenere un effetto più scuretto). Allora io e il tuo papà siamo andati in terrazza, dove ho scattato qualche foto, e poi mi ha abbracciata e così abbracciava anche te, e tutti e tre insieme abbiamo guardato questo magnifico tramonto. E' stato il nostro primo tramonto tutti insieme. E ce ne saranno molti altri. E non vediamo l'ora che tu possa vedere il tramonto con i tuoi occhi, invece che attraverso i miei. Ti amiamo tanto tanto. Con affetto, mamma e papà.

Today we had this wonderful sunset (actually it was a bit lighter, but I shortened the exposure to have a darker effect). So you daddy and I went out to take some photos, and then he kept me in his arms and in this way he was keeping you too, and we stared at this sunset all together. It was our first sunset together, and we are anxious that you can see your sunset with your eyes an not through mine. We love you. Mummy and daddy.

Con il mio Tablet - lo apro con il Browser - Google Chrome.
(Parte con la freccetta piccola) … con quella di Flickr non si vede.
(Ho notato, se si lascia un momento caricare … parte senza scossoni)

Via Sanità 33. In pieno quartiere della Sanità la facciata di questo immobile, dove si trova la Taverna Toto', è decorata con i ritratti di due tra i più grandi personaggi del teatro dialettale napoletano. Eduardo De Filippo e il principe della Risata, Totò (Principe Antonio De Curtis).
Artisti, attori istrionici e riferimenti indiscussi dello spettacolo e della cultura partenopea di tutti i tempi, erano legati da profonda amicizia. Hanno diviso il palco, il set cinematografico e oltre all'affetto del pubblico anche lunghi pezzi di vita. Entrambi erano figli illegittimi di due padri con nomi altisonanti: figlio del drammaturgo Eduardo Scarpetta il primo e del Marchese Giuseppe De Curtis, il secondo, si erano legati anche in virtù di un'affinità caratteriale.

In the Sanità district, the facade of this building is decorated with portraits of two of the greatest characters of Neapolitan dialect theatre. Eduardo De Filippo and the Prince of Laughter, Totò (Prince De Antonio De Curtis).
Artists, histrionic actors and undisputed references of Neapolitan entertainment and culture of all times were linked by deep friendship. They shared the stage, the film set and, in addition to the public's affection, also long stretches of life. Both were illegitimate children of two fathers with high-sounding names: the first son of the playwright Eduardo Scarpetta and the second of the Marquis Giuseppe De Curtis, they were also linked by virtue of an affinity of character.

Buongiorno a tutti, anzi buon pomeriggio, questa è la mia ultima foto per un pò, sono occupatissimo per i preparativi del mio nuovo viaggio, questa volta turistico. Fra qualche giorno volerò a Kos, la bellissima isola greca che diede i natali ad Ippocrate, il padre della medicina.... probabilmente riuscirò ad essere presente solo occasionalmente in flickr, quindi già da ora vi abbraccio tutti con affetto e vi auguro una meravigliosa estate (un tiepido inverno per le amiche ed amici dell'emisfero sud)

Hello to everybody, even good afternoon, this is my last picture for a while, I will be very busy for preparing for my new trip, this time it will be a tourist voyage, in a few days I will fly to Kos, the beautiful Greek island that was the birthplace of Hippocrates , the father of medicine .... probably i will be able to be present only occasionally in flickr, so right now I embrace you all with affection and I wish you a wonderful summer (or a warm winter for the friends of the Southern Hemisphere)
