My first entry for Dali Zheng's speeder bike contest. The lower left pic shows that it fits in a 16x6x6 (trust me, it's only about 5.5 bricks tall compressed) area, and the upper left shows it's fig-fitting-ness.
A very fun and quick build that took on an extremely stylized appearance.
Based on a recurring character in the paintings of Jeff Soto, these figures have been more than two years in development. Jeff's work is in high-demand all over the world and through his solo exhibitions at Jonathan Levine Gallery and huge wall murals at Art Basel Miami, Jeff's profile as an artist is growing by leaps and bounds.
The body, arms, and legs of The Seeker are rotation molded vinyl, while the horns are injection molded ABS plastic. Each figure maintains a simplistic look and feel to keep the simple grace of the character's appearances in Jeff's paintings, but still required a rather complicated paint application to decorate and accentuate the detail in the sculpt.
The Seeker is appearing on store shelves now, with a few variants yet to be released. Full sets of all 8 variants, including a copy of Jeff's "Storm Clouds" book, an offset print, and an original watercolor painting are available exclusively through Bigshot's online store, www.bigshottoystore.com.
The fine citizens of Paris were visted by a Great Aetheric Borne Creature. A defense was raised. We knew not if it brought Friend or Foe. Yet caution seemed the best approach. To warn them, as it were, that we were prepared to Secure the Safety of this Humble Village.
Aether is the personification of the upper air. He embodies the pure upper air that the gods breathe, as opposed to the normal air breathed by mortals.
My brother is a trooper for dealing with me making him jump out of a chair in the middle of the road and throw leaves everywhere. Gotta love family.
I'm not uploading the pictures of the series in any order. This is picture number 7. Augh, so many more and so little time.

An airship built for a CB competition: Aetherian II
It turns out that they managed to refine Aethernite into a usable accelerator, it's in the grey box. If it's thrown or hurled/blown out, it gives a little extra push forward. This coupled with the slim and aerodynamically designed hull and the large jib (sail) and the large Aethernite crystal that lifts and lets the ship float around in the Aether, makes the Swift Dragon one of the fastest airships there is.
So what do you do if you have a fast airship, well you compete in sailing as fast as possible! First forward and round the buoys and back! There are two buoys that float around in the Aether with the help of an Aethernite crystal each.
A helmsman in the back who adjusts the course with the lever (works to change the rudders). A sailor who trims the sail and makes sure that the jib is on the right side in the bow (can angle the arm in both directions). An additional sailor who makes sure to crank the bellows that blow out the refined Aethernite with air (working mechanism that raises the bellows and "blows out").

This is the Coal Harbor waterfront. This shot was taken in the very early stages of the new convention centre construction. It is quite far along now, but in this shot all you see are the pilings.
