Brussels Airlines, Manchester 25th September 2002.

Normally housed inside at RAF Museum Cosford as part of the Test Flight collection, the EAP was rolled outside for the 2017 Cosford Airshow.

EAP (Experimental Aircraft Programme) was a one-off British technology demonstrator aircraft built by British Aerospace (BAe) in the early 1980's, and was the result of several years of parallel, and then collaborative research by UK, Germany and Italy into a highly agile future European combat aircraft. EAP was used to demonstrate and validate advanced structures and technologies in development for what would eventually evolve into Eurofighter Typhoon. These included carbon-fibre composites and advanced alloys, a digital fly-by-wire flight control system and delta canard control surfaces.

Two EAP aircraft were originally planned, one to be built by BAe at Warton and another by MBB in Germany, but after Germany withdrew financial support for the project, only the Warton aircraft went ahead (ZF534). Some existing Tornado components were incorporated in the design to reduce costs, including the two Turbo-Union RB199-104 engines as used on the Tornado ADV, and also a modified Tornado rear fuselage and tail-fin.

Although there was a some international collaboration, the EAP was essentially a British project, and as such was the last supersonic British aircraft.

The first flight took place in August 1986 the the aircraft was retired in 1991 after providing invaluable input into the Eurofighter programme.

The PAC Cresco is a turboprop-powered derivative of the FU-24 PAC Fletcher aerial topdressing aircraft, manufactured by the Pacific Aerospace Corporation in Hamilton, New Zealand.

Aerial topdressing is the spreading of fertilisers such as superphosphate over farmland with the use of aircraft. Aerial topdressing was developed in New Zealand in the 1940s and was rapidly adopted elsewhere in the 1950s.
