The Monastery of Tatev is a 9th century Armenian monastery located in the Tatev village in Syunik Province in southern Armenia. The term "Tatev" usually refers to the monastery. The monastery performed an important role in the history of the region, becoming its political, spiritual and cultural center.

Goshavank' is a 12-13th century Armenian monastery located in a village of Armenia named Gosh (Tavush marz), was originally known as Nor-Getik. It was the home of Mkhitar Gosh, after whom the village and monastery were named. Today the monastery is not a functioning religious complex, although it remains a popular tourist destination and is currently undergoing some light restoration.
In addition to the impressive monastery, which has remained in relatively good condition, one of the world's finest khachkars is located at the monastery.

Noraduz cemetery is a medieval cemetery with a large number of early khachkars located in the village of Noraduz, Gegharkunik marz near Gavar and Lake Sevan, 90 km north of Yerevan. The cemetery has the largest cluster of khachkars in the republic of Armenia. It is currently the largest surviving cemetery with khachkars.
A khachkar or khatchkar is a cross-bearing carved memorial stele covered with rosettes and botanical motifs characteristic of Armenian art.

Zorats Karer (also called Karahunj, or Carahunge) is an archaeological site near the city of Sisian in the Syunik province of Armenia.
The site is located on a rocky promontory near Sisian. About 223 large stone tombs can be found in the area. It was explored by a team of archaeologists from the Institut für Vorderasiatische Archäologie, University of Munich who published their findings in 2000. They concluded that Zorakarer "was mainly a necropolis from the Middle Bronze Age to the Iron Age." The Munich archaeologists add that it may have served "as a place of refuge in times of war", possibly in the Hellenistic - Roman period (c. 300 BC - 300 AD). A wall of rocks and compacted soil (loam) was built around the site with vertical rocks plugged into it for reinforcement: today only these upright rocks remain.
About 80 of the stones feature a circular hole, although only about 50 of the stones survive. They have been of interest to Russian and Armenian archaeoastronomists who have suggested that they could have been used for astronomical observation. This was prompted by four of the holes pointing towards the point where the sun rises on midsummer's day and four others at the point where the sun sets on the same day. However, the holes are relatively unweathered and may not be prehistoric in origin.

Hayravank Monastery is a 9th century Armenian monastery located near the village of Hayravank along the southwest shore of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia.
Hayravank has a quatrefoil cruciform central-plan with four semi-circular apses that intersect to create a space for the drum and dome to stand above. The drum and dome at one point had collapsed completely, but were later restored.

Akhtala is a 10th-century fortified Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the town of Akhtala in the marz of Lori, 185 kilometers north of Yerevan. The monastery is currently inactive. The fortress played a major role in protecting the north-western regions of Armenia (Gugark) and is among the most well preserved of all in modern Armenia. The main church at the compound is famous for its highly artistic frescoes, which cover the inside walls, the partitions, and the bearings of the building. The modern name of Akhtala was first recorded in a royal decree of 1438. The etymology of the name is believed to be of Turkic origin, meaning white glade
