This is from a small series I made during the restoration of #blackwalnutcemetery. The volunteers have completed most of their work, which is satisfying for them but with all the gravestones reassembled and glued and standing upright, it's not nearly as interesting to me as a photographer. I'm amazed at how many things I photograph -- old buildings, abandoned cemeteries, graffiti -- are transient. This prompts me follow my own advice: If you see, shoot it because it probably won't be there the next time.
