Tveitsund Bridge is part of national highway 41, and is located in the middle of the settlement Treungen in Nissedal municipality in Telemark. The bridge was built in 1918 and protected as a cultural monument in 1999

The bridge is 62.1 meters long and is the country's second longest stone vault bridge adorned with concrete columns with a span of 51 metres. The bridge has a width of 5 metres, and the carriageway is 4 metres. The bridge is characterized as a piece of high-class engineering. The construction is stretched to the outer limit of what is technically possible. The bridge is protected to be a visible memory of the development of communication and road construction, says the description of this cultural monument on the National Archives' website.

The small mound right by the bridge is a protected burial monument from the Late Iron Age.

The Mercat de Colón is renowned for its stunning architectural features, which reflect the Modernisme style. The market’s façade is adorned with intricate ceramic tiles, wrought iron details, and colorful mosaics, creating a visually striking appearance. The use of natural light is a key element of the design, with large glass windows and a central skylight allowing sunlight to illuminate the interior space.

One of the most notable features is its grand entrance, framed by two large arches and flanked by decorative towers. The entrance showcases a blend of traditional Valencian motifs and modernist aesthetics. The interior features spacious aisles, high ceilings, and elegant ironwork that create an open and inviting atmosphere.

Proudly adorning Jim's Coffee Shop. Gum over cyanotype, using color halftone separations as in the previous posts, but this time using a color photo as the source. Image is 7in (18cm) square. The overall color is a bit pink for my taste, but I still like the halftone effects, and I'm not really trying for a perfect rendition of the original. There's also a small blue mark caused by an imperfection in the blue negative.

A shakuhachi (Japanese: 尺八, pronounced [ɕakɯhat͡ɕi]) is a Japanese longitudinal, end-blown flute that is made of bamboo. The bamboo end-blown flute now known as the shakuhachi was developed in Japan in the 16th century and is called the fuke shakuhachi (普化尺八). A bamboo flute known as the kodai shakuhachi (古代尺八, ancient shakuhachi) or gagaku shakuhachi (雅楽尺八) was derived from the Chinese xiao in the Nara period and died out in the 10th century. After a long blank period, the hitoyogiri shakuhachi (一節切尺八) appeared in the 15th century, and then in the 16th century, the fuke shakuhachi was developed in Japan. The fuke shakuhachi flourished in the 18th century during the Edo period, and eventually the hitoyogiri shakuhachi also died out. The fuke shakuhachi developed in Japan is longer and thicker than the kodai shakuhachi and has one finger hole less. It is longer and thicker than hitoyogiri shakuhachi and is superior in volume, range, scale and tone quality. Today, since the shakuhachi generally refers only to fuke shakuhachi, the theory that the shakuhachi is an instrument unique to Japan is widely accepted.

Prompt: A serene scene of a Japanese woman in a flowing, floral kimono playing a Shakuhachi bamboo flute beneath vibrant autumn leaves. Her long hair sways gently, Refined landscape with a touch of realism, this abstract composition on a canvas primed with acrylic primer utilizes fluid art techniques in multi-layered acrylic pours, incorporating gold, brown, pearl white, copper, bronze, and amber hues. The colors, pigments, and sand are layered carefully, each poured individually, using both Acrylic Pouring Dip and sandwich acrylic pours techniques to yield a background rich in depth and texture, with contrasting transitions and unique fluid patterns. At the bottom, a sandy, dirty-white layer adds an earthy texture, from which an abstract tree with a branched crown stretches upward, adorned with golden, copper, and amber autumn leaves rendered in the fluid art style. Delicate, expressive strokes scatter leaves across the canvas, achieving a surreal autumnal scene with vibrant, flowing movement against a stunning, abstract backdrop.

# This relief shows Ramses the Great (Ramses II, at the center) being adorned by the Gods Set and Horus.

# On the left is Set (or Seth, or Sutek, or Seteh), depcited with a head that doesn't completely resemble any creature we know. This is why Egyptologists have refered it as the head of the "Set animal" which resembles an aardavak and a dog. To the ancient Egyptians, the animal that Set's head is, was actually associated with a canid, wild dog of Egypt, which is unknown today - or possibly extinct. The Egyptians called this animal "Sha".

# Set is known to have saved Ra - the Sun deity. At the sametime he is associated with deserts, storms, chaos and darkness.

# Set is also known for violent conflicts against other deities like the Gods Horus, Osiris and the Goddess Isis.

# On the right side is Horus, depicted with the head of Falcon, and with a pschent on his head. A Pschent is the double crown of ancient Egypt, commonly called "Sekhemti" (the two powerful ones).

# Horus is associated with being the saviour and sky God, the deity of hunting and as being the destroyer of Set. Horus was told by his mother, Isis, to protect the people of Egypt from Set, the god of the desert, who had killed his father Osiris.

# The depiction shows both the deities Set and Horus holding the "Was" (power sceptre) in their right and left hands respectively. It was a decorated staff, curved at the top end and depicted as a symbol of one's power.
