Used the brush tool in lightroom to make a little colour adjustment. The fountain was pure white and the tree was quite harsh in in reflection in the water although it is blue.

Upper East Side, Central Park - Jun 2008 - 085

These pictures were taken on two successive days when I had doctor appointments on the Upper East Side of NYC, and had the chance to walk along Fifth Avenue, and then through Central Park in order to return to my apartment on the Upper West Side, at Broadway & 96th

I had spotted this woman jogging in Central Park a little earlier -- how could you not notice someone in a bright pink top and pink hat? She had been running south, while I was walking north, and she went by too quickly for me to get a picture.

But about ten minutes later, as I was approaching Columbus Avenue and 96th Street, she jogged past me again ... she had to stop at Columbus Avenue, because of the traffic, so she was actually jogging in place when I took this picture...

Note: on Sep 26, 2012, I replaced the original version of this photo with a slightly edited one. All I did was some relatively minor adjusting of "hot spots" and "cold spots" -- but unfortunately, I was unable to remove all the monochromatic blackness in the woman's tights Unfortunately, the original photo was shot as a JPG image, before I learned about the benefits of shooting in RAW and making more subtle adjustments with my Aperture photo-editing program...

Pageboy helping flowergirl just before heading up the aisle! I love moments like this.

My cousin asked me to photograph his wedding.... I have never done anything like this before so was quite nervous at taking on this responsibility.

I'll post some photos of up here.... all critical feedback welcome!

“Bertie, the man is looking quite befuddled this morning.”

“I hadn’t noticed Sky, but I think you may be right.”

“Do you think it is anything we have done?”

“No, it can’t be after all we haven’t done anything yet today, much...”

“What do you think Posh?”

“Well, it is hard to say for sure but I think it might be something to do with the clocks.”

“What are clocks, Posh?”

“They are things that measure hooman time. Please don’t ask how they work for I have no idea, but I have noticed that he seems to be going around to change the direction of the pointy things they have on all the clocks he has this morning.”

“Maybe, it is because they are all wrong.” Suggested Bertie.

“No, they can’t all be wrong surely, Bertie. No, he is being quite precise in what he is doing for a change. I wonder if this is happening all over the hooman world, what do you think Posh?”

“It is possible, hoomans are silly enough to do something like that. For us bears time really doesn’t matter but for some hoomans they tend to live by their clock or watch. They allow time to rule their lives, very sad.”

“That would be awful Posh, imagine having to get up at a particular moment and go somewhere. One might even be in the middle of a jar of honey and have to leave it because the clock says so.” Said Bertie.

“Not on your life, Bertie. The clock could say what it wants, but I wouldn’t be going anywhere until I had finished the honey.” Said Sky firmly.

“Posh, I think it would be nice if we helped the man with the clocks.”

“We could do Bertie, but we don’t really know how to or even what needs to be done.”

“That is no reason not to help Posh. He is our friend and he does allow us to get all our honey and stuff so it would be nice if we helped.”

“I agree Posh, even if we messed up, I do feel he would appreciate the fact that we did try. I mean, he would try and help us if we wanted him to.” Said Sky.

“Look, he has gone out so now is our chance to collect all the clocks and adjust them so it will be a lovely surprise for him when he returns.” Said Bertie looking at his two friends.

“There are a few I doubt we’ll be able to reach.” Said Posh.

“Oh, come on, Posh, we’ll find a way. We can knock them off the wall and try and catch them as they fall. It’ll be such a lovely surprise for him when he comes back.”

The bears sat looking at the clock, watches and screwdrivers feeling really pleased with their efforts.

“I think they look so much nicer now those pointy things are in different directions and not all the same as he had them. Now, the question is do we leave them like this for him to see and have one huge surprise or put them all back and let him have lots of different surprises?” Asked Bertie.

“I vote we put them back, it will be fun to see how long it takes him to notice what we have done for him.” Said Sky.

“What about the small ones that are still in pieces?” Said Posh.

“I found if you jump up and down on them enough, they click back and are fine.” Said Sky. “If not, he has that bangy thing somewhere, we can use that.”

“Come on, hurry up we need to get these back in place before he returns if we are to surprise him.” Urged Posh Bear.

Well, if you're going to look, I may as well make a show of it.

Practically SOOC shot. The only adjustment I made is straighten the photo and a little global sharpening.

Its the only adjustments i do apart from changing the lighting levels.

Yes just an excuse to flash a little thigh and little stocking top and heels just to finish some of you off.

This all sort of came together rather nicely the dress was another charity shop find and didn't cost much at all. I did have to sew a belt loop as it had become unstitched and its very low cut so i put a stich in that too while i was at it. Now the dress is very wearable and the blue and burgundy works well

A lady always needs to make sure everything is ship shape, tip top and correctly adjusted at all times.

A long goneby aster still has its attractions, especially when adorned so beautifully. A 12-image stack.

It's the little things that people do that drive me wild. You spend time with someone, talking and moving through the space around you, but then they move their hair out of their face just so, or stop to adjust a sock that's slipped down and you see something that was made to be a photo. I could spend an entire day with one person just waiting for them to live life and adjust the things the feel are out of place. Waiting for those moments, that's better than watching anything they've got on tv, that's for sure.

Just when it seemed safe to resume filling ALL the birdfeeders and putting the Goodie Bowls out for the squirrels again - I saw another cat in the back yard and then later it was peeking in the window. GRRR!

So, I'll continue tossing "critter munchies" out in the back of the yard away from the house. As you can see here, the squirrels are adjusting - and even some birds are starting to forage the lawn for missed morsels. Some mornings we'll see twice as many squirrels but the lighting is bad and I'm usually rushing out the door for work.

** Best when viewed large. Taken from one of our sunroom windows. Had to crop this so you can actually see the squirrels. Yes we're ALL making adjustments.

Manual lens. Pretty sure this was with the reverse-mounted Asahi Opt. Co. Super-Takumar 1:1.4/50 2066316. Lean-to to focus. Some minor post production adjustments.

Here is a close-up image of the Fishbed's cramped cockpit. The larger scale of the model allowed for greater detail. I also recently modified the canopy, making it less bulky than before and adjusting the profile to resemble the original aircraft better.

Thanks for visiting! Most photos are of Mei, my wife and muse.

To get the best possible sound out of the cartridge it has to be adjusted very carefully.

Main problem with stockings is that they always need adjusting when you've been dancing around and even if they don't you have to make sure they don't :-)

OK yes its done to tease, entice and titillate,

Actually i dont wear stockings very often as they tend to send out the wrong message to guys if they happen to discover one is wearing them, Why is it a woman is seen as easy or up for fun if she is wearing stockings?

Heavens I am even thinking like a woman now
