Another image in the +/- group that didn't get the required commentary, so I thought I'd do a quick adjustment of it.
This isn't my image. It is Soverico's image. If you like it give her the fav, not me.

Adjustments:
Increased shadows/highlights, contrast. I up'd the saturation a tad and lightened it a bit with the curves adjustment. I also sharpened it a bit.
Another bathroom shot - blurry this time! Truth be told, this wasn't even taken on Sunday. I forgot. My new method is if I skip a day it's okay to take one in the morning and then shoot again in the evening. But it's still cheating.

I got last minute notice that the Texas State Railroad was going to perform a revenue run (which by itself was no great revelation); but they were going to use #30 (Baldwin 1917, 2-8-2) for the run. It was also postulated that 30 would take the cars to the interchange track in UP Palestine Yard.
The last time I saw #30 was back in 2014; when I was riding in cab of #316. I know 316 has been out of service for a firebox; and #30 has been operational; but it has not used for the passenger excursions for the Summer operating season due to the local burn bans and extreme fire danger here in Texas. Plus, the steam department wanted to test out some adjustments to the running gear that were made during the down time.
The original plan was for TSR #7 to pull a cut of tank cars westbound from Rusk; meet #30 (which dead-headed tender first from Palestine) at the Jarvis Wye. Then, #30 would pull a couple of more tank cars stored in the wye tracks, with #7 coupling onto the rear of the train as standby power and protection.
Obviously, a revenue freight run utilizing TSRR steam is *very* uncommon; with the diesel-electrics performing those chores on a regular basis. When I was informed of this, at about 20:00 last night (9/26); I immediately called my boss, and asked if he could fill in for me. He agreed, albeit I had to do a last minute graphic arts editing job for a 3:00 pm deadline today. He emailed it to me, I banged it out in 30 minutes, emailed it back, and got the afternoon off.
At 06:00, I got my ass out of bed, threw my equipment in the trusty old Nissan Tacoma pick up (I didn’t want to use my stick shift Dodge Caliber), as I had to scope out several locations, with some looking like dirt roads or goat paths to the Jarvis Wye.
I arrived in Palestine at 08:30; bumped in Michael Griffis – (another photographer / railfan who, just happens to work at TSRR); met the fireman Dan in the enginehouse, and shot the bull while taking my shop pics. Said hello to my old gal #316, saw 610 and 1312.
After #30 was prepped, the crew wyed her in Palestine and ran in reverse to Jarvis Wye. My intent was to shoot from Jarvis Wye, but the gate was closed to the access road; so I set up at MP 19.53 - CR1232 instead.
It took a while, but I was rewarded with the deep chuffing sound of an approaching steam locomotive after about an hour.
After she ran by, I grabbed TSR 7 bringing up the rear, and was rewarded with some horn love from my boy Joe LoGiudice; who was engineer of #7.
I wasn't planning on it, but I saw I was ahead of #30 by a decent margin; so chose at last second to set up at MP23.30 - Dean Wright” / FM386 gc. I caught the run by there; and made a beeline for Palestine Yard, where I was just a minute too late to get on the sunny side of the train.
It was decided to cut off #30 and return her to the shop for more adjustments. As such, #7 being on the rear of the train; was going to shove the cut of ten tankcars westbound with Conductor Adam riding point and protecting the shove to the UP / TSR interchange track in UP Palestine Yard.
I met the train at Loop 256 grade crossing; South Royall Street gc and West Reagan Street to finish off the day.
I shot with two cameras: my recently acquired Sony a99V and my trusty a900. As I needed to familiarize myself with the a99V, I switched lenses between the two bodies (28-75mm f2.8 and 70-400mm f4-5.6 GII) so I could gage the differences between the two bodies, so if you see what appears to be duplicate images; they were taken with two different cameras and lenses.

How truely unique & fun this necklace is!!! It has no clasp. It is fully adjustable & absoultely adorable!!! This could dress up your outfit or look great on casual day. I love this piece!!
The chain measures 28", but the length of the chain around your neck is completely up to your preference. You could chose to make the dangle portion of the necklace longer than shown, by simply pulling down the focal rectangle. This piece has no clasp, although, I could add one if a shorter length is desired. Just let me know that you perfer a clasp & the length you would like the necklace in the "message to seller" box at time of purchase. If you love it the way it is shown, there is no need to specify your preference.
Featured is 2 25x35mm mother of pearl rectangles. Inside the focal rectangle is 2 4mm agate beads. Wire & chain used is sterling silver.
This item is made at time of order.
getyourmojo.com/ Mojo Desk is a beautifully designed adjustable standing desk and ergonomically correct sit stand workstation.
Wheel-thingys belong there. The block will be attached to the shackle (to be adjusted to the front or back of the base, depending on what is already on deck, powerconnectors in my case)
wool felt is hand cut, embroidered and embellished with metal gadgets. The piece
is then attached to a suede, adjustable necklace.
Adjusted by using the "retro" effect action. This shot of an old gas station on Holden and Commonwealth sums up the City of Detroit ... best in the long run? Thanks to Detroit Liger and this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/16939591@N04/3963893603/.
