This morning I installed the rain gutter on the garage addition, increasing the amount of water going to the rain barrel. The total capture area is about 450 square feet.
In addition to the okra, I also got two squash from my friends' garden. One of them looked like it was crossed between a yellow summer squash and a zucchini. The other one was just a great yellow color. Per the gardener's instructions, I peeled them before cooking.
These were prepared in a little bit of butter (ok, a good amount of butter). Once they were turning semi-translucent, I added some fresh thyme from my garden and a big dash of sea salt.
They were fantastic! (Although I could not entice my 2 year-old to even try.)

We kick-started new sessions for games outside the curriculum in a safe and secure manner. Children were surprised by the latest addition to their activity list. The perfect winter day was well spent playing in the open with their classmates. Here’s a look at the young ones making chains and chasing their classmates under the open sky. All we can say, that our children enjoyed the new outdoor session in the school.
