I'm not getting out much just now due to weather and looking after my better half so going through my files.
Fairy doll for young girl, all stitched and very safe (no plastic parts), added wings this morning. Two outfits included: blue playset with tie-up pants, and dusty lavendar dress with flower.
As the fairy doll is for a young girl, I didn't want that "shapeliness" some doll patterns offer: she's a pure triangle body, bendable/ semi-posable arms and legs, belly-button and pointy ears. I took the pattern for parts of the body from Beth's amazing Spirit Doll pattern (available on her blog) and from the free Lily doll pattern from Sugar and Cream. The wings and ears are my own design, as are the facial features :)
Here's one to add to my list of the weird inventions. This ones right out of Japan. Poor kid has a confused look on his face. Can't figure out what his mom is dressing him in. Now you can help you're kids clean the floor buy crawling and dusting at the same time!

Starting from the large scale, Climate Change being the overarching result of a global way of living. The altering of climate zones around the world is largely an effect of human consumption habits as a whole. And leads directly to sea level rise. Going smaller, I chose to focus on a specific symbol that represents human consumption, the cargo ship. The cargo ship is a representation of global trade; it is the new largest creature in the seas, overtaking the whale in mass and size. This is the vessel that transports all of our goods from port to port, from manufacturing country to consumer.
Going further into a micro view, after the cargo ship brings the goods to port. Daily human consumption is the next step. The way in which we choose to live our lives has a great impact on our environment. This is where change begins, on an individual basis. Being mindful of how you choose to consume necessary and unnecessary products is the beginning of creating change.”

WOW...it was so fun to hook up with FLICKR FRIENDS Candianlookin (wayne) & his sweet Husband ! They are such kind and fun guys!
We walked around the lovely Victorians in PACIFIC HEIGHTS area , strolled along Filmore Street peeking in the various chic boutiques, went to JAPANTOWN for a nice Japanese meal, hopped on the bus to HAIGHT STREET where we walked the lenght of HAIGHT down to Golden Gate Park !
The big surprize was bumping into FLICKR ROYALTY (the great flickr staff)! ADDA saw a FLICKR tshirt and yelled 'FLICKR!" Poor guy musta jumped outta of his shows...hahaha
We chatted and of course took photos! What a treat to see San Francisco with two adorable FLICKR FRIENDS and meet FLICKR ROYALTY, too!
Boy, We did some major touring and have lots of fun! ..
