Went out for walk not really expecting anything when unannounced Kingfisher arrived on Wooden post from nowhere giving me just sufficient time to photograph before disappearing as fast as he first appeared.
So addictive!

A lone angler tries his luck in Alaska's Kenai river. The Kenai is arguably Alaska's most famous fishing river and best known for its runs of giant King Salmon (Chinook).
I didn't take time to fish. I fish for image opportunities nowadays.
The Kenai and Kasilof rivers have the richest teal waters from glacial silt I've seen. As I preferably seek out glaciers and high mountains I've seen many gorgeous teal blue rivers. I could only imagine how beautiful it would have been if enhanced by a bright sunny day, as it was always cloudy during my time here. I do plan on returning some year. Alaska is addictive!

Kotor bay at night from above, I had uploaded a blue hour panoramic before, this is taken later, single frame. The moon was almost full and lit up some of the scene after rising.
Montenegro, at the moment is the first country in Europe without any active Wuhan Virus cases at the moment (Faroe islands have been for a while) only about 10000 tests there though.., according to that addictive webpage that we probably all click on a regular basis.

Organic roasted garlic and herb stoneground wheat crackers. These are incredibly savory little ovals, hitting the spot straight from the box.
Absolutely frigid day outside, temps were -12F in the morning with an even lower wind chill. A good day to play with some creative photography. I still had everything set up for the shots I took a few days ago, so gave it another try. It's so addictive, I love the different results you get with different backgrounds and the swirling of the oil droplets.

Used a bit of jiggery pokery in the form of HDR to increase the dynamic range as it was pretty large, hopefully didn't cook on high for too long there.

Macro Photography is addictive, but at least you can measure your advancements in the images. My poor plum tree has been savaged by the wasps, but I didn't have the heart to spray it - Keeps most of the wasps away from the house!
Slightly tongue in cheek, as apparently this is how frogs mate. I have to say, I'm not entirely convinced, as they weren't moving much and sat in the same position all the time I watched them. Maybe they were petrified by having a macro lens stuck in their faces. Or maybe it's just what frogs do.
It also reflects my sentiments after spending a good half an hour lying prostrate on my stomach right in the middle of the footpath, praying (1) that the frogs wouldn't get fed up and 'attack' me, and (2) that noone would come along and think i was a tad odd. I got away with on it on both counts....
[Slightly Topaz tweaked, as it's getting quite addictive now. But hopefully still just about on the right side of not overdone. Added a bit of texture to a boring background, with a bit of light in places, tiny bit of smudge and some precision contrast/detail.]
A long time ago, when I was just a rookie second life shopper I had a gacha problem.
I was a hysterical gacha machine slapper with no boundaries on when to stop.
Playing gacha was basicly ticking all the boxes of my addictive personality.
I could play for ever for just the rare item, when the rest of the gacha pack did not have my interest at all.
My inventory was always a gacha mess because unpacking all the boxes was almost a day time job.
First there was only The Arcade as gacha event now there are (to) many of them.
Now ( to ) many designers are releasing gacha items on monthly shopping events.
Basicly I am gacha tired.
So I made some rules to controle myself so I wont go second life broke and live in a cardboard mesh box.
Yardsales and buying gacha items on Market Place are my best of friends.
If and when I play on a machine there must be more then one item in the pack I like to play for.
Two hits on one machine and get the same item again I stop.
Who needs the same pattern socks 10 times.....

Another artwork in the very addictive pano-sabotage genre!
I must admit that out of about 100 photos I attempt to take using this method with an ancient iPhone 4S (of which only the camera is usable, not the phone anymore), only a very few are usable; you can see a small copy of the original shot in the first comment box below.
The artwork above has, obviously, been heavily recoloured and textures added when it was put through Photoshop.

Let the baking begin....and I always start with good 'ole chocolate chip cookies. These have a twist, however. They are from a recipe called "Martha Stewart chocolate chip cookies" and they are just like the recipe of toll house cookies, except there's a 1/4 cup more of brown sugar and a 1/4 less of white sugar. Highly addictive!

This is one of a small group of Common Terns that were hawking insects out of the air over the lake. These birds are amazing flyers, and photographing them in flight is totally addictive :o)
