The global activated carbon filter market is anticipated to grow with a CAGR of ~5% during the forecast period, i.e. 2023-2033. The market is segmented by application into industrial water pollution treatment, drinking water purification, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and others. Out of these, the industrial water pollution treatment segment is anticipated to garner the highest market share by 2033. The primary factor of the segment is large amount of wastewater due to industrial dump. A report released in 2021, suggests that industries dump an approximate 300 – 400 MT of polluted waste in water every year. Additionally, the unavailability fresh & clean water is another factor that contributes to the expansion of industrial water pollution treatment, which further is forecasted to escalate the activated carbon filter market.
