I found a pair of brand new roller blades at a GoodWill store. They cost me $9 bucks and were listed for $150 bucks, new. This gave me 8 wheels to play about with on other projects. This wheel fits the metal housing of the gimbal unit very well, so it can replace the stock wheel very easily. The stock wheels cost maybe $40 bucks for 4, so this is a good value in shopping at thrift stores. I have seen tons of rollerblades at thrift stores in the past and most are being sold for next to nothing.
The Tachyon XC - Extreme Camera - is the latest- generation video and still camera designed for filming extreme action. It is extremely rugged and very simple to use, while delivering up to a full 30FPS of VGA video.
The Tachyon XC is shockproof, waterproof, and foolproof. Take it anywhere on land, into the sea, and into the air and bring back your stunts, adventures, and bloopers. It comes with a remote control and custom-designed mounting accessories.
A patented shock-proof battery system eliminates an all-too-common problem among other action cameras; the loss of power and recorded files caused by the jarring loose of the batteries. This innovation ensures that videos taken in challenging and perhaps impossible-to-repeat situations will not be lost.
The Tachyon XC is the only helmet cam that can make use of the full range of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB SDHC cards.
And unlike other cameras which need to rely on an external waterproof case, the Tachyon XC’s housing is already waterproof, allowing you to film to a depth of 28 feet (8.5 meters) and protecting the camera from the elements.

The item that I found at Targets, at the One Spot area of the store. These are the bins that have items from a dollar to three dollars. This item has 3 screws holding the pieces together. It is light weight, easy to work with for modification and has many potential applications as a camera mount.
Buddy told me that someone had put in a lot of work clearing First Notch. I’ve either never ridden it or only once early on when I first discovered Gillard in my early days of mtbing ( 5ish years ago ). I was able to squeeze out 2 laps of Gillard between clients and so on my first lap I went to explore First Notch. Running beautifully from top to bottom, now only hoping that they’ll rebuild all the amazing looking wooden structures along the way.

The setup used a 1/4X20 allen set screw that was threaded into the helmet female receiver. Just enough was left sticking out to allow me to put on the plastic mount and then tighten it down with a 1/4" nut. I will be grinding the nut to reduce the height of it though, but this set up works pretty well on the helmet, too.
The mount was not in a good position to be moved around to change the (fov), so I made a mod to adapt it and it worked out great. See other photos for that mod.
This may not look great at the moment, but it does work and will be okay when a dab of epoxy is added to protect the wires. It now fits well into the housing of The Frame. the cost of the adaptor from Talkie Tech was less than $4 bucks. The item is hollow inside, so be careful in grinding off any plastic on it.
On my third lap I ran into Will at the chairlifts and that’s when shit got rowdy. This dude is a machine and I tried to keep up with him.

A statue of James Bradley adorned a park bench along the Ohio River shoreline. Good place for me to secure my action camera. I setup a timelapse sequence but that would be cut short when a lady and her dog sat beside my GoPro as if to say..."who left this setup for me". I quickly exited my car to retrieve my gear.
