Those ships floating out there would be kind of neat if it weren't for all the lead-based paint falling off their hulls into the waters of the Delta. It's a HUGE problem.

We left our car over there across the water. Now, we have to ride all the way back across the Benicia Bridge to get back to it. Not a problem - it's only about 6 miles, and it's uphill only half the way.

I was struck by the echoes between this picture, of an old wheel-less bike (practically rusted into the ground now) outside the MIT campus, and the previous shot I took of a robotic walking machine at the MIT museum.
