T103 pulls into West Jax yard on a gloomy evening with a very foreign leader. I caught the return of this train on McGirts Creek bridge at night, the shot is already up.
A southbound morning ACES train to Atlantic City passes through Edison behind NJT P40DC 4800.
The Atlantic City Express Service was a short-lived experiment that ultimately failed. These four car trains operated Friday-Sunday between Feb 2009 and Sept 2011. Power was typically a P40DC and ALP-44 combination, as the train operated in both electrified and non-electrified territory. The coaches have since been reconfigured as standard NJT equipment.

It is 6:15 in the early morning of Monday July 7th. ACE 01 has just arrived and it is pulled by a F40PH. To the far left is the Caltrain EMU for the first express train to San Francisco, that I will take to work.

After I had taken this -I found a kindred spirit in
Eddie Soloway who did a series-A photographic celebration inspired by the Japanese shoji screen, traditionally made of washi paper from mulberry trees in order to create a beautiful soft glow as light passes through.
Companion to the Seventh Doctor Ace is possibly one of the best developed companions we have ever had on screen. She has a pretty full arc, one that only gets more interesting if you include what happens to her after Survival. And kind of character development is just not something any companion prior to her had gotten.
And sure, I've pictured her here with the Boombox from Silver Nemesis, but who can forget her loe of Nitro-9 or skill with a baseball bat?
And me? Well I'm a huge fan of where they took her character in the New Adventure series. It's kind of a pity we haven't seen her reprise the role in 19th Century Paris, but a fanboy can dream...
Emotionally draining day today. Faking a smile was harder than I thought it would be.
A is for Aces
WH - Kicking off the February ABCs (365-032)
My wife and I were down above Basset's cove on the north cliffs this week when one of the Sea King helicopters from the Royal Navy search and rescue, 771 squadron "Ace of Clubs" dropped down to give us a wave as they practiced landings on the cliff edge.
Taken with an old Minolta Rokkor 50mm 1.4 manually focused, very happy with the sharpness.
