Back on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal in Selly Oak to check out the Bristol Road Bridge before they install a new ramp / steps. Also for the Student Accommodation and Sainsbury's from the back.
New steps have been built but not quite finished.
Seems like there is a bridge over what will be the Lapal Canal.
Got on at The Dingle and saw yellow Police tape on the ground. Was also lots of litter in the canal.
The Bristol Road Bridge - come Autumn 2019, they might install a new ramp / steps at this point.

St Mawes is a small town opposite Falmouth, on the Roseland Peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. North of the rock cutting between Acreknowe and Flex farms, this accommodation bridge comes into view. The accommodation bridges which the North British Railway was required to provide for farmers whose fields had been severed by the course of the railway are of more substantial quality around here compared with those found in the upland sections a few miles further south.

Our standard part-catered accommodation in traditional halls of residence. Each bedroom in a standard part catered hall has a washbasin, single bed, fixed wardrobe, desk, desk chair, easy chair, reading lamp and bookshelves. There is a communal snack kitchen on each floor, and bathrooms and shower rooms are shared by around six residents.

It would look run down to most but it was five star accommodation to us. It is hard to beat having a proper chair to sit in!
A few other interesting characters stopped at the cottage while we were there. The first night we were joined by a German adventure travel writer Dieter Kreutzkamp who was paddling solo from Kitimat to Vancouver. Bernhard had heard of him and got interviewed for the next book. Dieter did not have much information on campsites and was very interested by my Wild Coast Guide.
The second night we were joined by Cory a hiker from Ontario who had to drop out of a trip hiking and pack rafting across Princess Royal Island due to a bad knee. We later met his companions in Shearwater, other than a broken toe they completed the trip successfully.
The gite is a delightful detached property for 6, recently restored to European eco norms. It has a private garden to the rear equipped with outdoor furniture and barbeque as well as its own car parking.
