So there I was sitting outside on Mother's Day enjoying family and opening presents while we snacked on Orange Chicken and other forms of tasty cholesterol, when I noticed how the glass patio table was reflecting a part of the sky, a part of the house, and a part of the patio umbrella. All festivities came to an abrupt stand still until I got my camera.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA..This was an image created from what i think was a tail light for a trailer that hit my mailbox the night before. I put it in a blue bucket with soapy water and took a picture of it upside down and rightside up and layered them together. I then put it to a technicolor 2 Faded film effect. I just kind of like it. Olympus E3 with the Olympus 14-54mm lens.
I own this Eunice's (my artist sister) abstract original and it hangs on my wall for years and I love it. It is an old collage from her drawing lessons she was going to throw away, I said give it to me and she did. I framed it and gave it a real upgrade with the super opack black metal frame it became a museum piece. She has just entered Facebook and I was photographing some of her works for her gallery and when it came to this I could not resist texturizing it and there it is ! We use each other's work very rarely with no feelings !
Engineers understand the concept of abstraction fairly well. By hiding the distracting details and irrelevant information, we can focus on the things that matter in a particular design. In photography, abstraction still adheres to the same basics - the cumbersome details are lost and we are left with shapes and colors that are pleasing, thought provoking and of course beautiful.
