Newton Reservoir, Utah, is so full it has flooded the shoreline forest. I abstracted the trees and their reflection by moving the camera vertically during the exposure.

On the night of July 3, 2022 I sat in my daughters front yard that overlooks the city of Dubuque, Iowa. The fireworks are shot over the Mississippi River at quite a distance from where we were watching them being fired up into the night sky. I used many settings on my camera, sports, landscape, creative auto. etc. I got some amazing images that make many of the fireworks look abstract and not your usual fireworks display. This past October, 2020, I traveled to the Eagle Ridge Territory outside of Galena, Illinois. I had just gotten a new Cannon Camera with multiple lenses that I wanted to try out. Last week, temperatures hovered around -20º C in Chicago.
That's when - photographically speaking - there is something to be said for single-pane windows ( just as long as they're not located in living quarters...)
