Always on the move, graceful Dewey plays nearly the whole day long (and a large part of the night too, lol)
I love how he's growing up to be long and slinky. I thought it was just a kitten thing, but now I wonder if he doesn't have a bit of Oriental breed in his background :-) And he's finally grown into his gorgeous tail!
At least here the advice of forties finnish book "Omenanviljely" (apple cultivation) has been followed: the appleyard is lined with tall spruces that stop the northern winds and make an aborably warm microclimate.
In many countries the heat is problem. Here, the coldness of the blossom days is more a problem. Weather is seldom hot, normal summer day being around 15-23 celsius degrees. Apples are here in trouble - this is not their native climate. So one has to help them feel more home... meaning more warm or longer warmth.
Stopping the notrhern cold winds might be the most simple and elegant solution to this.
